I highly doubt it, as the developers have clearly stated that they do NOT want the cash shop to affect in game combat.
Whereas Blizzard seems to want to embrace the opposite concept.

"nah nah nah, gold farmers don't exist!!!"
Gold farmers DO exist, and I would never deny that.
But again, my strong opinion is that in a game where there will be PvP (even though the Diablo PvP looks like it's going to be quite pathetic) I don't agree with ANY sort of "pay to win (or pay to be more competitive against real life players)" system. Just because someone is willing to throw $1000 towards in game items to make them better doesn't mean they deserve to have that edge.
Is it because I can't personally afford to buy items? No, not at all, it's just that I find it pathetic to have a system in place where someone who spends a ton of real life money can have a competitive edge against someone who doesn't.
To be fair though, it seems like the hardcore servers won't allow the RMAH (at least as of right now), and considering I would only play on a hardcore server, I probably won't be affected by it. But again, the second I heard that Diablo 3 was going to have a RMAH, I immediately was disgusted and lost respect for Blizzard. They can say, "it's to legitimize item trading and gold selling" all they want, but it's just another way for Blizzard to make a buck.
You need to realise that there's no 'edge' to be gained.
The reason people call certain games 'Pay to win' is because you can aquire items that you can not aquire in any way through just playing the game.
In D3 this is not the case.

Nothing, Diablo 3 has all of the new "features" that have been added to gaming lately by EA and Activision's unparalleled board voting processes. This game has tried and true mechanics that date back to the 90's back when games worked properly. Essentially if you pick PoE you get nothing.
Now go troll someplace else and stop trying to compare Disney's Beauty and the Diablo 3 interactive cartoon storybook adventure for the casual of the casual, those too casual to play farmville, to this ARPG we have here.

I am not convinced 100 per cent by D3 and am hoping to find a better gam in path of exile.

Everyone has their own personal definition of P2W. In my view, for instance, D3 is definitely P2W, since it's easy for me to gain an advantage by paying real money over someone who doesn't.
This would be even more egregious if D3 had PVP. :p

What I noticed in Diablo 3, was that although the art design is light years ahead of PoE, the levels themselves are extremely boring tubes. The outdoor areas barely change at all and the few dungeons I got to go in were all EXTREMELY LONG tubes with no side areas or places to actually get lost in. The most annoying thing is to see three screen wide pathways with no branching paths in a dungeon and you simply go: "ugh I'm in a tube not in a dungeon"
This is so wrong it's not even funny. The main dungeon of the D3 "beta", the cathedral, is huge and has branching paths. And much of PoE's dungeons are EXACTLY what you just described... tubes, narrow doorways, etc. You can't be serious. Virtually every dungeon in PoE is exactly that, which makes your post bizarre.

Newsflash: Diablo 2 was "pay-to-win" as well. It had/has an absolutely massive third-party item selling market. Some of these sites made tens of millions of dollars. The owner of d2legit.com and his network of sites is filthy rich and has a mansion and his own yacht. That's not even counting the forums where countless people bought and sold items with money. Real money item buying and selling was a HUGE market in our sacred cow Diablo 2. Only someone with their head in the sand would be unaware of how big it was and still is. And it was incredibly easy and fast as well. I know, because I've bought gear before from these sites without any hassle and most times received it in minutes. If Blizzard removed the RMAH from Diablo 3, it wouldn't change anything at all. At least with item buying/selling being an official part of the game now people have the safest and most cost-effective method to do it if they so choose. Many of these sites for D2 price-gouged.

That's exactly what I said though, you don't gain any kind of an advantage. You can't buy anything that you can't obtain through the game (obviously, since all the items for sale come from the game in the first place, and are found by real players).

Not to mension that they can now impose limitations such such as transaction fees, but most importantly, a limited numer of item posts per account.

Only because Blizz didn't bother fighting it - and now, instead of fighting it, they decided to take a cut instead. Good business decision (they will obviously make millions), not good for the game, in my opinion. :)
