Let's talk about P2W - What is it? What is it not?

^

Because claiming a free to play game is P2W, with no direct player to player game based design, is in fact, absurd.

Every arguement and example about player time or advantage, is constructed to try a validate a point of thought, but none are fact based arguements.

PoE is, and cannot be, pay to win how it is currently constructed. (Even selling currency or pets that pickup loot, or any of the other suggestions).

You can have your own opinions, but not your own set of facts.

You're one of those people who uses the name of things as their actual definition. In which case you must also think starfish are fish, and chinese checkers are a form of checkers from china. Hint: they're not.

FYI ggg acknowledges p2w being possible in their own game so... so much for denying it.

The question was: "If all those peoples shared point of views are "absurdity", if you discredit all other opinions, why anything you write/wrote/will writre should be accepted as valid?"

You didnt answer the question.

By what you wrote you discredited yourself totally.

If PoE was P2W, why aren't people advising others to spend money on the game when they come to ask for help?

But that's the flaw in your "logical/factual" explanation based on your opinion, your view of the definition of WINNING is just based on direct player to player contest, that might be true in a multiplayer game, but this game is not. In fact, especially in a single-player game, WINNING can be also acquired by beating the game.

That's also an opinion & I can claim it based on facts.

Ok, so let's take out opinion & just stick to actual facts...

What is the definition of WIN in the first place?

In the dictionary...
"
Win
verb
1.be successful or victorious in (a contest or conflict)
2.acquire or secure as a result of a contest, conflict, bet, or other endeavor.

"
Endeavor
verb
try hard to do or achieve something.
noun
an attempt to achieve a goal.

So that means if you acquire or be successful in any contest or endeavor such as any "goal" in the game, it means you can consider it you technically "WON".

So what is "Pay to WIN"?

Since webster dictionary has no meaning to it, we take the meaning of the urbandictionary...

"
pay-to-win
Games that let you buy better gear or allow you to make better items then everyone else at a faster rate and then makes the game largely unbalanced even for people who have skill in the game without paying.

If you prefer the reddit definition...

"
Paid to win
a situation where the player can buy in-game content or in-game changes, with real money, that give the player a gameplay advantage or advance the player gameplaywise.

source:

Bottomline;
That's the "factual" definition of Pay to win, anything else is just an OPINION, same as yours.

It's supposed to make you WANT to waste your time."

You can't WIN anything in this game. Pay to win what, exactly? WTF are people winning?

people are winning time...

back in the days you need it 40mins to set up your job and 40 mins to buy something

now you need 1-60sec to list your item and 40 mins to buy stuff

so in the 40 mins you won you cna play more / have more fun do stuff in RL

Thanks for everyone taking their time to participate in both the survey and/or disussions.
The survey is now closed. There were 68 submissions and I'm planning to post the results either tomorrow or this Sunday. As mentioned earlier, the answers to all 10 questions where heavily split into either 2 or 3 cluster points, with one question being the exeption of their answers heavily polarizing towards one side of the spectrum. More details then.
