Sorry, but this is bullshit.
First off, I'm far from being dishonest. Can a "shower league" be fun once in a while? Sure. I had fun in Delirium, to a certain degree. But am I dishonest when I defend less loot in a different league? No.
Second, MORE loot may feel good there and then, but MORE isn't always better for the game. This is about progression. When a few maps drops all you need to "buy" you the way to the top, you have no progression left. No grind. No push. We even see it now; people have been used to more and more loot. You can't deny that. The last leagues have been crazy. I seriously got to a point where an EX drop didn't feel that special anymore. "OK, another one"... Rewarding? Debateable.
Me having different views than you, makes me dishonest? Glorious.
Look, the curve needs flattening. Do I defend less and less loot in every league? Of course not. Do I defend leagues here and there with less loot? Yes, yes I do. Do I defend leagues trying something different? Yes. Do I defend leagues with different goals? Yes. We can't just "increase, increase, increase" evey league. Especially when Delirium and other stuff have been added to the core. You already see people more or less printing exalted divination cards THIS league, using Delirium.
My problem is whining people, demanding to LOVE every league. Demanding to have more monsters and more drops each league. And the moment they (personally, subjectively) dislike a league, the forums are filled with vomit (more than usual). When they try new/different things, they will miss (some people) now and then. It¨s not your god forsaken right to love every league, but it IS your god forsaken right to take a break once in a while.
Sorry, your post was... Tilting.

spoiled lol we playing a game dude we wanna have funn. so you want 99% of player base to find 1-2 ex in 3 months? all leagues only last 3 months after that they are put in standrt where all there loot is worth nothing so what is the problem getting alot loot each league to be able to play/build/experiment stuff of the new league instead of being stuck on white maps with lvl90 char with trash gear aswel. if you like the slow and bad drops you should play standrt and stop calling people spoiled. its aboud having fun not being spoiled or not. its pretty clear most people like good drops in new leagues and alot dislike harvest
Why are you hyperboling everything into the sky? 1-2 exalts? 3 months? I've dropped 5 in less than two weeks. You're not "stuck", you're just starting the league. You're only 1/6 through. And you already whine about not having what you need to beat the game.
Fun is subjective. My fun mainly comes from the journey, and through challenges. There's no challenges when you can buy what you need to no-brain the game after a week or two. For me.

These are good points. GGG tried something different this league. They hear the feedback and see metrics that we do not have access to. They will decide if this experiment was successful or not. I do not begrudge them mixing things up.
Personally I like loot raining from the sky. I thought Metamorph was an awesome league. I farmed my first (and so far only) mirror in Legion. I had a blast with my herald build in Delirium (probably could have gotten another mirror if I wasn't trying to get 3 passive voices). I am less enthused with Harvest than these previous leagues. Primarily because I am an idiot when it comes to crafting. I am the ELI5 person when trying to learn how to craft an item. I understand the potential that's there I just struggle to unlock it without a guide. That's a ME issue so I am not going to rail against GGG for trying something different. Now if they do 3-4 leagues of this in a row I might decide the game is going in a direction I no longer enjoy but for a league here and there it is not an issue.
TL:DR-While I like loot'splosion leagues more I am glad that GGG tries different things.

They knew from the beginning this league will not be well received. They have the experience and the resources to properly gauge the response, they are a business after all. Yet they went ahead. I don't know why, I maintain that they are doing some sort of experiment.
As far as your other question, I don't particularly care. Of course putting a new league in, any league, would result in a spike in player numbers and MTX sales. But that was never my point. The question I am more curious about is why they decided to do what they did.
Chris specifically said it is an experiment on modifying crafting.
I quit this league. and uninstalled the game, for about 3 days. but then I decided to come back and just copy a reddit garden layout.
I haven't gotten much out of the garden outside of saving alch's on maps and also a nice recipe to convert completed maps into uncompleted maps. I haven't harvested the T3 seeds yet though.
All in all, I would have preferred a legacy league to this. But I'm having fun trying out redemption sentries and I want to fight Sirus for the first time since his intro where he bugged and I ragequit. LOL

You and I are in the same boat, I took two days off to decide if it's worth doing a layout from reddit for the garden, and now I see the expert one and then the super minmaxed one I'm like no fkn way dude. The crafting is pretty great for the spectre build, because you can build your life and resists around the +1 spectre mod on armor and +1 gem spectre on boots to make really good rares. Sirus 4 worked decently but then sirus 5 curbstomped me because of some crap lag during the fight. Oh well back to upgrading.

yes 1-2 ex is a bit hyperboling but isnt what everybody does here these days :D i found 3 myself stil got 2 of them. i also know im not stuck. i played every league for atleast 1.5 month or more this 1 is just no funn outside having litle to no alch and things to do, the mechanic is just way to boring for me. also if you dont like that you can buy stuff then play ssf and do your challenge thing let people who want to buy stuff to build be able to farm something. grinding gear games you know

Yeah, I don't know what level of sirus I will fight. I still need a few exalts to round out my gear, I saved for the chest first, and I should swap some skills to better match Kay's guide.

Again, hyperboling and strawman...
I didn't say I didn't "want to buy something". I play in trade league for a reason. But I see it as a problem, when players are so used to drop rates that lets you buy yourself to Sirus the first week, because the league drops so god damn much. The moment they actually have to grind a bit, play a bit, feel the progression, it's "whining time".
You finding the Harvest mechanics "boring" is fair. All new league mechanics can't appeal to everyone. A break can be healthy :)

people do sirus naked with no gear. currency has litle to do with sirus being easy. i dont see why people should not be getting alot loot in a 3 months league. stndrt economy is done anyway and thats where all end up.

I don't care about standard at all. It has nothing to do with my arguments. And I never said you're not supposed to get a lot of loot in a three month league. The problem is when you get "all you need" the first week. It's like you're not even trying to read.
Do Sirus naked yourself, upload it - then you can use it as an argument.

all you need is full mirrored gear in 3 months now uploud that then you got an argument. cmon lets stay real if you upset aboud sirus being to easy in 1 week then complain aboud builds to strong or boss to easy.
