Thoughts on GGG's dishonesty, false advertising, and new stash tabs.
Why do humans always gotta be such predictable slaves to their emotions? Oh you are disappointed in the man? Start the hate train. Come the threads. The threads of trying to demonize. And so the train of starting to ascribe any problems, mistakes or simply shortcomings as coming from a point of deception or scummy intentions gets rolling, coz now it's more socially acceptable to act that way so why not. And when it's going everyone revealing who they really are - it's when there's trouble you can really tell what a person is worth.
Lots of pc players are pathetic and never learned to act in life. The way the crybaby threads get rolling, then turning into hate train threads with everyone jumping in to tell others how scummy someone is. It' just not impressive to watch. No honor m*f^ckers. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all. Last edited by Crackmonster#7709 on Aug 11, 2020, 2:53:32 AM

" Calling consumers who express legitimate grievances about discrepancies between promises and actions "pathetic crybabies" is not particularly honorable either, Crackmonster. I do agree with one thing you said: That a person's behavior is ultimately the best indicator of what that person is worth. You seem reasonably intelligent, so I expect you will grasp the irony of those two statements being juxtaposed. You might also appreciate the irony of a post with plenty of emotionally loaded language accusing others of being slaves to their own emotions. Wash your hands, Exile! " @ gibs: +1 - wonderful vivisection :D @crack: can you maybe list a few reasons why our arguments (they are neatly listed in previous posts) are refuted by whatever you could bring to the table? I mean, I get you wanted to vent, but now that you have done that, could you maybe come back with a more in depth analysis with where our thinking is amiss? So far I have yet to see anyone say that we are wrong. The best with which people have come up with so far is: GGG just made a mistake. Well...yes, that's what we are saying. But if you don't fix a mistake nor address it properly I can't be calling this kind of mistake a mistake anymore. As I pointed out already: they had plenty of time to plan ahead and plenty of time to address it afterwards. What have they done? Nothing. “Human decency is not derived from religion. " did not think people buy individual coins, no.. 15 dollars is not shit,it is half of what i get paid in one day in my country,i thaught coins from the pack. in the end you just get alot of stuff to spend it on in the shop that you dont have to buy or in the case of these tabs you dont really need them, people who buy them don't have much to spend the coins they get from the packs anymore, you don't need those tabs at all, they are just there for who wants them same as the unique stash tab that sold better than these and that one really gives no quality of life benefits. the guy flexed he supported by buying the tabs and i said 150 coins is shit but i dot think 15 dollars when i said it,i thaught leftover points from a supporter. a better way to express my self is ggg will not run the company based on these 150 coin 3 tab bundle people are bitching about,if anything they might have lost a lot of clients to bigger purchases in the future caus they didnt anounce the direct placement in inventory before they launched the tabs in the shop. for the other guy who said im promoting a bad practice for saing 150 coins is shit(for ggg NOT FOR US) spending the coins on those things promotes that bad practice to be done in the future BUT for the topic in this thread, now we know tab affinity will be added. " Do we? Was there any new statement of this? The last I saw of it was along the lines of "we are considering this, we might add it, we might not". |

"the guy is scared of confirming something now and carefull as fk before he speaks because people now take everythign out of context and crucify the man for it. chris said it in baeclast also but he said it the same as you mentioned caus he is carefull now... from now on get use to hearing the words: we might and we are considering caus he got butchered for what he said at exilecon. if you guys wanted to teach him a lesson than trust me you all did and he regrets what he said that day now. watch baeclast episode 61 iff you have 3 hours before bed.. More so than trying to hold GGG/Chris accountable for past statements, I am way more interested in trying to hold them accountable for their business practices.
Had it been a random free-to-play company, I wouldn't have cared or had any expectations, but GGG did use business ethics as an important part of their branding (if not, I would never have even tried PoE). And honestly, at the start, it did look like they would be keeping those ethics. But with the addition of problems to the game, soon followed by selling solutions to said added problems, it's hard to not be worried about their intent. Plus there's some stuff that is not distinguishable from P2W for how I play the game. (I saw a very significant change in my ability to sell stuff when I acquired a Currency tab - that is to say a premium tab - when compared to when I only had a bunch of non-premium tabs. And the acquisition of extra tabs is mandatory now, with all this accumulation of stuff to clog the stash.) Again, I don't really care if GGG said something about their current intent at point X for a certain part of the game or of their products (they can make mistakes, and things they say aren't always meant as a promise). I am worried about bad practices creeping their way in their monetization methods, and the fact that not holding them accountable for that incentivizes pushing further with bad practices. As is, it looks like they attempted to use decent monetization methods, but ended up seeing that it wasn't sufficient to sustain the game so they had to switch to less honest practices. " And yet he does not seem to actually care about that, does he ? There have been plenty of times where Chris said something, but the facts were just different, and at the end he was just BSing people ( for example regarding balance, what the dev team was concerned with / wanted to do, or more obviously ... the topic at hand ). " Exactly SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Aug 11, 2020, 8:51:27 PM

" If I writed this I would get into probation real quick. I have to think this has to be a copypasta or something.. this amount of salt isnt real unless there's something wrong with you. As for this thread, their business model is just trash.. there's nothing that can justify their movements. Whales can pay and will pay any price good for them.. "poe is hype poe is life" "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure." Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. Last edited by Xystre#4581 on Aug 12, 2020, 2:09:35 AM
