Will anyone try out Neverwinter when it hits OB? Also feedback on how the p2w is implemented

So i just watched on twitch a few guys streaming and i was kinda blown away. I have to confess that i had a really bad impression of the game but that is because the publisher is perfect world. Having seen that game the classes and early gameplay i have to say im impressed and will try it out when OB rolls in.

What about you guys? Will you give it a try? Yes/No Any info on the game? :)

I want to get into this game, but it's Cryptic... That's a huge black mark. Gonna try it, but if it's just a STO reskin I'm moving on.

They did a very good job on game mechanics its not like anything they did before. Plus its not a solo project they worked with D&D on this one so they had a model to follow. Check out some gamplay vids and see of its something you could get in too. It would be nice if i could fins some ppl to play with when ob starts. :)

Been in all of the closed ones so far been a lot fun a couple of the classes are a tad different but still fun. My only fear tho is it becomes a MASSIVE P2W game mainly because of Cryptic/and more importantly Perfect World. Heck there lowest supporter pack is 199$ LOL REALLY???
Im going to try it out, but im not holding my breath.

4th edition Forgotten Realms? Pay to win?
Pretty sure I'll be skipping this one.
I played their Closed Beta this weekend.

The story is alright, the graphics are ok, the combat system is nothing new. I honestly don't see much that any other MMO that's came out in the last half decade hasn't had.

I played Theif and Wizard, Theif was much more fun - ashame there wasn't a necromancer to play.

So instead of a new PnP game they go MMO? Sad.

Will be even sadder when it becomes:"New Baldurs Gate" and it's an MMO.

Survival Horror games become Shooters and D&D RPGs MMO.

What next? Turnbased Chess becoming RTS?

I played it a bit during the most recent beta weekend and while it is somewhat amusing during certain parts. It is mostly pretty boring. The major negative points I saw were...
1 - A complete lack of customization of builds(Major black mark for a game based on D&D)
2- Lack of utility skills, emphasis on combat. Also a big black mark for a game based on D&D, DDO did it better. A lot of puzzles and skills that aren't just straight combat oriented.
3- A massive amount of restrictions on items. A ton of class restrictions and level restrictions. Majority of items I found I couldn't use, or ever use.
4- Combat was thankfully rooted, which made it look a bit better. However, it is still mostly the typical MMO fair. Bland and uninteresting, not much going on. A shame again, considering that PnP combat can be very interesting.
5- Restrictive hot bar. I don't know who started the recent trend of locking out hotkeys and forcing you to earn them, and then not giving you enough for your skills meaning you have to swap them in and out but they need to be shot. This trend is terrible, and all it does is frustrate the hell out of me.
6- Based on 4th Edition 'nuff said.
7- It is very very much going to be designed to drain your wallet as fast as possible. Everything in the game from what I saw looked like it was going to be very easily setup to gouge you for money at every opportunity. Yay for F2P.
In the end, not very exciting. If it were a singleplayer RPG with a co op component, I'd be a lot more interested. Every time it strayed into MMO territory, it had design decisions that made me sad. Good for a few hours, but then its dull.
