Best Spectres

No one is mentioning Undying Evangelists from the Sceptre of God? Really? They have proximity shield and do massive AOE damage.

When you want them to die easier it is, they scale down but do not scale back up when you return to a higher level act. So return to a lower level area and they scale down, healing them is easier, but when you go back they don't scale back up. And it applies to just spectres as zombies and skeletons don't scale.


So all this really does is drop their level and causes them to become worthless to you, forcing a replacement when you could've just healed them with totem/flasks/aura or just given them good leeching....

Am pretty sure this is fixed now. Because how do u explain me zoning into a level 1 area with a lvl 75 burned miscreation. Than rezoning into lvl 70+ maps and they still do ridiculous dmg?

Then that is much better for us overall, not sure when they fixed that but it was a serious annoyance of mine with using spectres from higher end maps. I've not been able to really test it in a while as I've not had a level 70+ map drop for me in a few months due to the RNG personally hating me and a general lack of time to play...
There is a combination of support gems that can create Burning Miscreationd able take down merciless dominus in 3 seconds... Its not hc viable though
Btw, no one seems to notice that this thread is from march and the game has changed a lot since then

My personal favorite are the Blackguard Arcmages you find in the Ebony Barracks. Culling strike, Chain, Item Rarity, Item Quantity. They cast lightning thorns on all my zombies and skeletons and their chaining attacks wipe out the already weakened mobs. They also have decent AI and stay at a distance so they don't die often. Add to that some animation flasks, rejuv totem and vitality aura and they pretty well last forever.
Sound the dread alarm, through the primal body! Sound the reveille, to be or not to be. Rise! Stay the grand finale! Stay the reading of our swan song and epilogue. One drive to stay alive! Elementary, muster every fiber. Mobilize! Stay alive!

My list is as follows:

1. Undying Alchemists. While they do have low HPs, they almost always stand in the back and lob poison at the enemies and *rarely* die, except when mobs come in from behind, or you try to choke mobs in a doorway, then they tend to wander in to get a good position and wind up getting killed. Mind you my summoner has 11 skellies and 8 zombies and 3 spectres. The chaos damage stacks up quick.

3. Flame sentinals. Multicast fireball? Yes please! Their damage output is amazing! Their range is good, and best of all, they don't like to get into the thick of it. Again, low HPs but they are ranged. just like the above, they don't die easily unless flanked.

4. Bears from caverns level 1. They have High HPs! They have high damage! And their degen aura is amazing! Things melt when they walk into a room! Only problem is getting them. You have to walk through a ton of chaos damage in the form of snakes from the wetlands and through curse casting bandits. Then you have to find the caverns, then you have to find the bears, and kill them. Once complete, your solid gold.

5. Undying Evangelists. Their aura is amazing. I stand under it and take no damage. Or I swear I don't. Never died while their globe is active. Their lightning skills do decent damage and their consecrated ground does a lot of damage. Having 3 of them can rock any mobs world. Only problem is they are spastic and more susceptible of dying. They tend to rush in do their lightning, then back out and activate their globes (but they usually run to you and cast it, which protects you). When it goes down, they tend to run back into melee again. Useful in a pinch.

6. Chimeras/Tentacle miscreations: Their damage is divine. They have moderate HPs, but they tend to draw a lot of focus from mobs and die on me to keep as useful.

The evangelists do NOT do any lightning spell. There are 2 kinds of undying in Sceptre: evangelists and aristocrats ( I believe that's what they're called ). Only the aristocrats cast the lightning projectiles. Evangelists stay back, do crazy AoE physical spell damage and provide a protective shield for you and the other evangelists you have as a spectre.

Best spectres out there at the moment.
