Evangelists hands down.
Can solo most maps up to 78 with any mods without losing a single spectre. Log on, summon them once, play until log off. A couple edge cases like Crematorium killed my specs when their shields are down, but a simple resummon sealed the deal. (All this is without Life Leech, which is a waste of a slot with the new minion regen nodes, Evans tank phys reflect just fine) " Yes, I link with +AoE, Added Fire, Faster Cast, the rest are up to what I'm feeling like doing. "Their lack of accuracy is also absurd :) And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

Evangelists are the choice number 1
AoE + Remote mine + Minion dmg + Faster Casting and for a 6L Added Fire Dmg Good dmg AoE and the bubble is just op They just dont die. U can port to Hands of God and get 3-4 of them in 3 min and play with them for hours. Fire Sentinels are .. ok. They do more dmg but they die faster, are harder to get and are only level 62 That Quickfiring Animals arent bad in terms of dmg but the AI is to bad |

Any monsters from Act IV?

Stygian Revenants from The Harvest zone are the most popular.
I haven't tried them myself yet but I've seen people talk about using Knitted Horrors from The Dried Lake zone in conjunction with Bloodlust supported Zomnies. Pocket Illuminator from The Crystal Veins zone sees some use as well. My supporter items: Victario's Charity and The Forsaken

I love my summoner and these are my preferred spectres:
Undying Alchemists - (GMP, Spell Echo, Minion Res) Very spammy. They come with two useful attacks: chaos bombs and poison traps. Good AI (they stay in the back and attack) and they survive easily as long as you give them Minion Res. Undying Evangelists - (Spell Echo, Increased Duration, Increased AOE) Proximity shields and AOE attacks. Very useful defensively. Good AI. I like them for boss fights. Pocked Illuminators - (GMP, Spell Echo, Minion Res) Spammy like Alchemists. Good AI and always stay in the back. They also have extremely long range when they attack. They throw white fire bombs which spread fire DOT on the ground when they hit, further damaging enemies. Knitted Horrors - (GMP, Faster Attacks, Minion Res) 100% piercing projectiles with 100% bleed-on-hit. Good range on their attacks. Decent AI but they tend to get close to melee range sometimes instead of staying in the back. Stygian Revenants - (LMP, Spell Echo, Chain) 5/6 link - add Lightning Penetration and Minion Damage Long range, spammy, tanky. Make sure to use Wrath aura with these. Blackguard Arcmage - (Spell Echo, Chain, Lightning Pen) They spam Arc and also put Lightning Thorns on your minions. Use Wrath aura for them. For fun: Reanimator - (Minion Res, Minion Life) These guys cast Raise Zombie (up to 3 for each Reanimator) and also cast Enfeeble curse. With 3 or 4 of these, you can have a huge zombie army (alongside yours) running around, lol. More effective if you are using a Shaper's Seed amulet to give their zombies regen as well. What about the big ass statues in the Arena? They deal a lot of damage and are really tanky.
