Only physical damage can stun

that is simply not true

stun is a simple damage/mob life ratio

you might think stun is only physical because chargers (rhoas) and mobs that use shield charge/shield charge skill itself guarantee to stun if hit.

a simple test is go to lower level content and use a fire/cold based skill and a bunch of reduce stun threshold/increase stun duration items. if you dont outright one-shoot the mobs, they will be stunned.

pietys lightning balls do not go through the proximity shield and neither do her lightning storms. I have yet to lose a single evangelist to temple piety, with no life leech on them.
pretty sure other evangelists explosions also do not go through the shield

I was 99% sure it went through the shield because it was like this on screen. maybe it really does no damage while the balls roll through the shield but however, my mobs and my Evangelists were instant dead and the shield aura should have beeen active so the buff appears also onto mobs. And usualy nothing kills my Evangelists, they are usualy the last mobs that survive. Maybe it was a desync, no clue. I will not run this map again to test it, for sure. :D

piety has to cast it outside the bubble. if she was on the edge of the bubble and cast it, it would count..a slight desync couldve been it.

the attacks/spells have to originate in the bubble to deal damage, as far as I know.
I take whatever ranged, preferably caster, mobs are available on a given map since with an army of zombies and skellies there's enough going on in melee already. My summoner is only on Cruel though so it doesn't matter much. If I had to specialize in a single spectre I'd probably focus on the machine gun tentacle monsters or flame sentinels; their damage output was just crazy.

Personal testing shows that the ball is the thing considered "doing damage". If the ball is in the shield things will get hurt... if ball isn't in the shield then no damage.

IMO Best specters are Evangelists, Burned Miscreations, and Blackguard Archmages. They seem to have the most versatility and clear efficiency. Evangelists all the way for 73+ maps. If life based instead of CI 2 Evangelists + 2 Blackguard Archmages = win.

2 Evangelists, 2 Plumed Chimerals with Temporal Chains.

If you pick up what I just put down, you're welcome ;)
Lol, the debuff.
Has anyone ever considered Carrion queens? Whilst slow, their damage is absurd.
