Quality of life? Naaah p2w

People playing this game have forgotten, or never experienced in the first place, what quality of life features are. Me and a friend started playing this game about a month before Delirium, to get the hang of it. We liked it a lot, but ... The very first thing my friend said was: "this game is very good, especially for a f2p, but is lacks A LOT of qol".

- Auction house. This is a must in a game with trade. I've spent SO much time in my hideout just /w to player after player with no response, trying to buy some shit, or convert chaos to exalts. "B-b-b-b-ut the bots". THERE ARE ALREADY BOTS! LOTS OF THEM! I dont care. I would rather not have to sit 1 hour in my hideout trying to convert my 1k chaos to exalts, and instead play and enjoy the actual game.

- Can I, for the love of god, know what.the.fuck.killed.me? Like, name, number, damage source? (ie dingleberry hit you with a coconut in the head, dealing 123400 physical damage (critical).). I can program it for you to show it GGG, just give a call. FFS.

- Pets that collect loot. Or some sort of loot vacuum. Fuck clicking 25 legion splinters. And then 12 alchemy orbs. Just stack them, or give us some loot vacuum. I want to play the game, not click simulator. While dodging exploding delirium shit. And trying to outrun the fog.

I could go on and on but who cares, dont even think the devs read these forums so fuck it. But god damn is this game unpolished. Fun, yes. And with LOTS of potential. But so unpolished that I'm just using it a time killer 'till Diablo 4 comes out. Say whatever you want about Diablo 3, but at least it has that "big company" feel to it.

Most people that say this have no experience of games before QoL heavily influenced them, its a slippery slope and every situation is a give and take.

The splinter shit is a problem though but its one they tend to streamline for the more modern leagues with them dropping in a stack instead of separately, thankfully we've never gone back to Harbingers 200000 shards.

Improvements can definitely be made but I hope they tread carefully
100% agree.
QoL?

You need a life first.
Wouldn't mind knowing what killed me, although it happens very rarely because I know how to build my characters.

The rest are a huge no.

Easy with the use of "QoL" here. Trading is a VERY important part of balancing, and touches every part of the game - indirectly, no matter how it is done. Simplifying trade as "QoL" just shows a lack of understanding.

I agree here, this would be great. But most deaths come from a pack of monsters. Is it valuable information that the white skeleton to the left of the scary dude got the killing blow on you? While I wouldn't mind this feature, it wouldn't give you as much information as you think it would, in 7/10 situations.

I think this is best fixed through how shit drops, and not how it is being picked up. Vacuuming has its place, but autopickup through pets? I just think the idea is silly. Especially if they do it as the CN client does it; by paying. But this is a very important area, and they need to find a solution here, because the drop system as it is now, sucks.

Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
looking back, at my currency tab alone...i shudder thinking how many times i clicked...ffs

thats a health hazard right there...
Doesn't an Auction House involve waiting for the auction to end before knowing if you're the highest bidder or not?

Why can't GGG just have it so you can search for items in game and do the trade without having to visit someone's hideout.

This. PoE is product intentionally designed for no-lifers or to create no-lifers and, if only possible, addicts, because such people are more willing to spend money on MTX. That's why the game has so many inconveniences created just to steal as much time as possible from the player. Do you want at least some convenience? You have to pay for it. But developers will turn such player into no-lifer anyway, by some senseless clicking or terrible inconvenient parody of trading.

Thanks to this every three months, the developer may release some underdeveloped "leagues", consisting either of "launching a horde of monsters after clicking on something" or of moving the player to a "cave / room / place with lots of monsters". They don't even have to try, because addiction and discomfort artificially extending the time in the game will do the rest for them.
