Wolfie: Love the build. I had a CA Pathfinder that I switched over the last few days to test your guy before Harvest in case I want to league start. Easily crushing fairly buffed A8 T16 maps, but hitting a bit of a wall at about 80% delirious. Any thoughts on what to update? I know i hastily constructed this so my cold resist is way too high, so those should be fixed. Divine Flesh next? Any other thoughts?

Hi there, glad to know you were able to clear juiced T16 with ease.

The mobs in the 80% Delirious have quite significant damage mitigation as their defense, while receiving a pretty high DPS boost. Thus, it requires you to up both your DPS game and your survival kit to be able to clear such maps.

I had a look at your PoB. Below is my suggestion for you to consider:

Cluster jewel:
Replace Peak Vigour by Enduring Composure. Having semi-perma endurance charges is very important for this build. Not only it provides consistent phys damage reduction, it also allows Immortal Call to be proc'ed with maximized buffs with the active endurance charges. Enduring Composure helps you achieve just that. Therefore, I'd suggest that Enduring Composure is made as a priority in your upgrade list. Sidenote: perma endurance charges with enough raw physical damage reduction will also help you be nearly immune to the regular bleeding damage. You still need a corrupted blood immunity jewel to negate stacked corrupted blood.

Better Gloves:
Fenumus Weave or Embalmer or any good rare gloves with Despair on Hit (implicit). They're cheap atm:
  • Alternatively, you can keep the Despair on Hit on your ring and get a rare gloves with Chaos DoT multiplier (Huner's) + increased DoT (Warlord's) although I found having Despair on hit on gloves is better since it frees one suffix from your rare ring.

Try to get your accuracy a bit higher (currently 96%) by either:
  • Equip a better rare ring with more flat accuracy rating
  • Use Precision

Flask:
  • Cinderswallow with chance to avoid stun will be quite helpful.
  • Once you get 3 perma endurance charges from Enduring Composure, you don't need to worry about bleeding anymore since both endurance charges and Immortal Call reduce the base physical damage taken that goes into bleeding calculation. For the bleeding damage portion after mitigation, if there's any, you can easily out-heal with adequate regen.

Helmet: craft the helmet as in the guide section. You can try my current Fortify helmet if you like, too.

Divine flesh when you are comfortable with your DPS and life pool.

Have fun.

Great build Wolfie, this goes for a lot of defensive mechanics I was trying to add to my builds but you manage to get some great dps as well. This will likely be my league start character for Harvest, I'll let you know how it goes.
Hey do you mind taking a look at my build and seeing where I can improve the most for the last few days? My DPS feels lackluster on pob.

https://pastebin.com/BtVd6jqC

i do have a cinder flask just switched it out.

Sure, I can do that. It seems the boot is missing in your PoB, and the thread of hope doesn't look like it functions the way it should. Can you update your PoB and post it again?

Thank you for your kind words. I created this build with the intention to rival the defense of those herald stackers. Wasn't able to achieve that since the herald stackers were unprecedentedly able to abuse the resistance overcaps out of the roof.

Having said that, the eventual build I came up with has been outstanding defensively. It's the best build I've ever created so far (and the most time investment, too).

Please do let me know how it goes if you decide to do this build in the next league. Good luck and be a happy Harvester.

Based on the PoB provided, I tweaked a little bit. Some key changes:

+ Spec'ed out Divine Flesh for life node. It's not worth having Divine Flesh while your life pool hasn't reached 6K yet.
+ Put physical damage hit = 3,999 into PoB's configuration tab to better simulate T16 mapping. For 100% delirious T16+ juiced maps, put physical damage hit = 9,999.
+ For other changes: have a look at the Note section in the new PoB:

https://pastebin.com/Ac6MAiZ0

To generate withered stacks, you would need to shoot one round of Blast Rain on the target (mobs/boss) to trigger MiA, then spend the rest of your time shooting Scourge Arrow. For bossfight, the routine is : shoot one round of Blast Rain, activate Focus, and shoot Scourge Arrow for 3-4 seconds, run for your life (avoid boss' attacks). Rinse and repeat. Note that your MiA/Blast Rain will keep pounding on the boss while you run (here's an example).

For mapping, you can have an additional 1M DPS (not put in the PoB) from frenzy charges provided by Blood Rage when you kill the mobs.

On using Thread of Hope to ignore some of the pathing nodes: you rely completely on Coralito's Signature for capping your poison on hit chance. Just remember that and manage your flask accordingly in bossfights. Without Coralito flask, your poison on hit chance is 70%. FYI: I myself don't use Thread of Hope since I don't use Coralito for mapping but bossfight.

Your gears look good. For the last few days, there're a few things you can do to improve your build even further:

1) Try to get a quiver with the similar stats plus +25% chaos DoT multiplier to further boost your DPS.
2) Replace 3-point Enduring Composure to 2-point Enduring Composure if possible to save 1 skill point.
3) Get a boot with "inflicted poison deals damage faster", or if you can "+1 endurance charge" (best in slot defensively for the build).

Ok - much better. Added Enduring Composure, switched to The Embalmer and added Cinderswallow. Got down a 100% delirius buffed map, although still had big issues with Kosis. Still room to grow by switching the curse to the gloves and getting a better ring suffix, etc. But I can see how much better it got with those switches.

Now, my likely last question before next league starts (still may go with this as a starter). I have more problems with Simulacrum than I should based on how I perform in tough maps. A lot of it is that to start, the mobs get on top of me and overwhelm me before i get going. Once the wave gets going though if I survive the start, I am fine. I've been starting with a max scourge arrow, then immediately enduring cry, then shoot a few quick scourges. If I try to immediately wind up for another big Scourge I often die. Any thoughts on that? I feel like the stun immunity from cinderswallow is not enough when a bunch of tough mobs all get to me at once.

I took a glance at your PoB. It seems to be much better than the last time, but you don't seem to have enough HP to be able to withstand the onslaughts in Simulacrum. I would suggest that you focus on improving your HP a bit more. See my edit on your PoB below:

https://pastebin.com/PpZJHetB

See if you can replace the Abyss jewel with a similar one with +7% inc max life. That'd be your immediate priority for an update, I think.

Simulacrum encounter routine: flask up, fire a shot of Blast Rain (with Knockback support replacing Inc duration support), shoot SA, re-position, shoot SA, re-position. Rinse and repeat.

Have fun

P/S: there's someone selling their Embalmer with Despair Curse on hit for 20c. Better steal that deal fast.

Yeah, already had the jewel ready on another character right now.

Oooh yeah, let me try with knockback, that will certainly help.

My only problem with this build is too much strain on my hands. My 40 year old multiple surgery arm cant take it :( But again, appreciate the thoughts.
