I logged in today, entered map and after maybe minute got severe lag and fps drops. Died like 3 times due freezes. I decided to try other serwers but after login I could not even move my character. Basically unplayable game.
And did not had any problems before Delirium. My specs are: i5 4690k, 8 GB RAM, SSD storage, GTX 970. | |
I'm having random fps drops when in Maps and a lot of stuff is going on. Most of the time it ends up crashing the game completely.
Also the games takes forever loading into Oriath first time after starting the PC. I'm using the Steam version and it's installed on an SSD. Temperatures are fine. CPU is sitting at around 40%, GPU ar around 60%. Specs: W10 Ryzen 3600x (OC 4.2Ghz) RTX 2070 super 16GB RAM SSD (1TB) |

As soon as Delirium started, I started to notice performance issues.
I play standard and it happens even there in normal maps. It is basically unplayable right now, it does not feel satisfying to play a map with constant FPS drops when killing a bunch of monsters. This is obviously something that a programmer has done with an incorrect commit to the code. Otherwise a new feature must have been included that drags down the performance for some reason. I am a game programmer so I know. The easiest way for them to fix this is to check each commit since the last league and see if the FPS problem is still there. This can be done by compiling each revision and trying it in a map by adding a function that you can reproduce it with, for example by spawning a bunch of monsters and then just use an AOE spell that kills them all. Then you can easily see which revision the issue started in and by checking each source file changes of that revision you would see where the problem is and fix it or even remove it. I could do this in a couple of hours at most. I hope this gets resolved soon and I hope this is not a strategy of any kind, like adding a bug on purpose to later fix it to get praise for it, which I have heard many stories of from for example r/Talesfromtechsupport. |

Yeah I literally had 0 issues with fps yesterday now it's insanely laggy and fps drops is so crazy I can't even map. No idea what happened but its def the new update. I thought I had fixed it earlier today by cleaning my PC but it's def not my PC. Thing is only a year old too.

Delirium mobs are quite literally spamming on-death effects, being the reason for extreme FPS drops.
Avoid mirrors at all costs and the game will still run fine... as long as you don't do metamorphs. sigh... Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

" It's not just the delerium mechanic it's even outside that. I literally was getting 5 second freezes during an elderslayer encounter. Huge FPS drops. Unplayable. Last edited by Laere#2957 on Mar 17, 2020, 3:05:09 PM

Same here , insane fps drops on all monster spawning mechanics. Strongbox , influence, breach, syndicate etc.. If you combine delirium mechanics with any of those the slideshow begins. Don't even mention party play.. I even get lag spikes in my hideout.
i5-2500 Radeon rx570 8gb 12gb ram The game is on SSD I really hope they fix this as soon as possible since I like the league mechanic, it would be a shame if I had to skip it. |

After few days of testing I finally reduced at least half of FPS drops on my prehistoric PC:

(Core2Duo 3,9Ghz, 4GB RAM, GeForce 750ti)
No more 0 fps when going through "mirror". Running it now on Pop!_OS by System76 but it helped on Windows 10 x64 too. Important: change for Predictive networking mode first to test if your FPS drop is not network related Try with these game launch options(instructions here:https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Launch_options): " The real game changer is "--noasync" command. You can also test with "-gc 1". Other commands are optional. To check if the commands work properly just enter the town and see if everything was loaded instantly. If you see black textures, you did something wrong. Instructions for Linux:
