THE ONLY game capable (maybe, and depends on many factors) will be Diablo 4.
But even that would be very very hard to achieve

Wolcen as an ARPG, as a dungeon crawler, hack and slash...as a game , it's garbage tier.
They didnt even bothered to innovate, they just copy pasted everythign form outside sources, such as POE, Diablo and many many other games

That wasn't a quip against PoE, a game I still very much enjoy. This thread is about dethroning PoE, and now it happened with regards to one metric (all-time peak players on Steam). It is what it is :)

And even if you hate Wolcen for whatever reason, you have to acknowledge how impressive this feat it. Wolcen is buy2play after all.

As i am typing this, there are more players playing POE that whatever peak you think Wolcen had or will have.

Most POE players dont play with steam (Like, the whole Asia for once), because it is not needed, in fact, it is detrimential.
Then, you have console users.
And after that...you ahve steam, witch represent the lesser number.
Lets count em all, shall we? See where numbers sit after that

And with regards to PoE, those Steam numbers also don't account for markets like China, Taiwan, and Korea. If you were able to add up all of PoE's non-Steam players, those Wolcen numbers wouldn't even be close to PoE's total.

Wolcen also has nothing to offer to keep most people playing for long.

Not sure what your problem is. There is no bias, I just commented on one metric. There is no way to differently interpret that metric, Wolcen dethroned PoE on it.
