As I said before, no arguments will work. Simply because they refuse to admit they are wrong.
Only someone who never played this game "to the fullest" will say more stash tabs will make you richer. Every plater, at some point, realize that hoarding shit in this game is actually the OPPOSITE of what you should do to become rich.
Check streams of those who are considered "pr0 players" and see how many things they pick up in maps. Not counting raw currency, they barely pick anything.

But the people you re talking about have literally dozens of extra quad stash tabs. :)

Ofc they have. They are playing this game pretty much as a full-time job, spending couple bucks to make their time better is obvious choice.
That doesnt change the fact they barely pick up anything and they barely trade anything. They dont bother hoarding some useless rare items worth couple chaos.

Can we stop pretending that this subject is important? Do you want GGG to sell PoE challenge leagues for say $15.00 USD every 3 months? Of course not! Ok, so anyone wanting to play PoE more than super casual is required to buy stash tabs and specialized tabs. So what? Once you have bought enough premium stash tab 6 packs and quad tabs you're set forever and that beats paying for every challenge league. The rest of the mtx is all bling and isn't necessary.

Now that you asked, yes. I do. I think they should charge $20/account to enter a challenge league. Might do something to help the botting situation. It certainly would keep some of the scammers out. I don't think it would be enough to get me to leave SSF, but it would be close.

Until ggg slaps a price on playing the game from Twilight Strand onward PoE is a free to play game.

The fact that you confuse free to play with pay for convenience goes to show the problem lies with you.

Picking up every piece of shit monsters drop will fill up your 4 initial tabs by the end of act 1.

Yes there's stones, shards and fragments. Take essences for example. I highly doubt you hoard whispering essences. In fact I doubt you even pick those up since most loot filters hide those.

Say you hoard breach splinters. How many stones per map are you generating so that you would need a dedicated slot to hoard each type of splinter prior to converting to a stone?

Take shaper/elder; the four conqueror or high tier regular bases. Do you drop a full set of gear each map you run with the proper conditions so that you don't have room for those juicy crafting bases?

Let's talk about uniques. Aside from rings used for Loreweave a few of those twink leveling uniques and high end ones how many uniques does your loot filter hide? And of those it shows how many do you see, recognize and leave on the ground when they drop because they are not worth picking up?

Does having dedicated tabs make playing the game easier? I don't know. I'm on 4 tabs since I joined.

Are there people out there with more stuff and/or currency than me because they have extra tabs? Definitely.

Does that bother me? Not at all.

Path of Exile is free to play. It does not gate any content behind a paywall.

Path of Exile is pay to play for all the hoarders out there that pick up every piece of junk their loot filter shows and then come crying on the forums for that delete all button to magically clean their tabs of junk that even the vendors buy reluctantly.

You seem to think that i care about your incapability to differentiate between "free 2 play" and "free 2 hoard" or "free 2 play competitively".

I don't, your ignorance and definition creep are of no importance to me.

You can start a club with turtle about how people should be able to utilize specified and defined terms in whatever subjective fashion they want rather then actually learning to formulate what they wish to say propperly.

Rather then adhering to the established definitions, expecting the world to read your subjective interpretations in your statements which is certain to fail.
