do not care for this new atlas. they really need to let you mouseover a map and it tells you if you need its checkoff completion WITHOUT having to buy the map tab. i want to put my mouse over a map anywhere in stash or on char and instantly see "oh i gotta do this for checkoff ok lets go".

Um, pretty sure u can see the map status by holding alt or ctrl.. It was in one of their latest patches...

It has map completion, bonus completion and awakener completion status if u hold alt over a map in stash or inventory.

Metamorph is basically playing standard unless you are on HC. Die to meta, who cares? Kill it, maybe some loot but not game changing.

Conq. of the Atlas - net negative, maps are more confusing and less intuitive (each map can be multiple tiers... why???? who asked for this?), boss fights are a let down.

Is anyone going to tell me Sirus is as good a fight as U Elder? Of course not.

So, weak league, lame core changes.
Unfortunately I got bored 1 month in and quit. I'm going to give the next league a go and hope I like it more but for the most part the end game just doesn't work. I think part of the issue is that the game should be built around self found and isn't. Trading for everything is really lame but the drop rates are just awful for self found.
It's ok I guess

Agreed. When I look at a tab full of maps I should be able to tell by the color of the map whether I have completed it in the Atlas or not. With the watchstones changing the different areas there are many times that if I type the map name in that it shows me nothing because that map isn't in the current Atlas view. Very stupid that we can't tell then if that map is completed or not.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Metamorph as a league is good but the Atlas conq update is the real jewel for those who love mapping and juicing.
Still sane exile?
League awsome, atlas grind after first awakener kill terrible. Garantee conqueror spawn after set number of maps. Maybe between 5-15. That way you can set small goals to work towards. Very important for more casual players. Make it eassier to drop required/uncompleted maps. So many aspects of this game is rng, progression through main endgame should minimize that. Put rng in alternate endgames like delve etc.

I cant say much about this season compared to others, because i started with this season and had a blast with POE in general.

Even if iam a "newcomer" I have informed myself a lot about the old seasons, when and what happened. For me it seems that metamorph is a very small season considering that the new atlas is part of the core gameplay and not the season.

So even as a newplayer i would say its ok, most of the time ive done the metamorphs at the end of the map and a couple one in the Lap, but for me it doesnt fell like a big thing or a game changer. Nice not more not less.

I agree, it's far too difficult to hold down alt while hovering over the map to determine this...
