So how good was Metamorph league?

The core changes to the atlas + increase in mob life = great
Metamorph is also decent. Died with 14k ES couple of times, had a chuckle and moved on.

The only thing I found mediocre was the changes to Bow stuff (which should be obvious since nobody even mentioned it here). Bow league btw !:P
Don't try to hold it, flow with it.
Got 40/40 so you can answer it yourself XD
Disliked the new atlas for a while, but i guess it's ok now, once you get the hang of it (and it got bug fixes), but still shouldn't be so complicated that you are required to watch several youtube videos to understand it.

Map drop ratio is really nice though. Makes it a little easier to accept the new atlas.

Overall ok with Metamorphs, although the oneshot deaths is even worse with these monsters. I'm sure glad I didnt play anything that required me to be in range of them, and I still got plenty of oneshots.
Considering how hard metamorphs are, the rewards are kinda sucky.

Sirius. Worst boss fight ever. Please ditch all the dark/black colours. It's almost impossible to see what's going on.

Hejren / Triceps / Regnbuen / Sarinti / Striglen / Mareridt / Spoegelset / Doktoren / Dobbelganger / Skjoldtrold / Forkynderen
the changes to rare and unique monster hp made leveling with shit gear a pain and even more boring than before
This is my first PC league (played legion and blight on PS4) . The league itself was fun, though I did not really experience it because it turned out my build shredded Metamorphs before they even make one attack move, even on 130% T16 maps on AL8, so every map grants me free extra currency, which is perfectly nice for a casual like me.

What I really liked about the league, that many people sort of don't mention is that the league gives me a reason to fully clear a map. Blight league it was - rush to the map boss, kill boss, move to Cassia, loot blight chests - next map. There was next to 0 incentive to actually clear the map. Now the incentive is clearly there and on top, it removes the repetitiveness that naturally comes with fast mapping.

As for the core changes - LOVE THEM. Honestly, I get the grudge that some super hardcore players have with it, but for the 99% of people who actually don't play POE as a job, the core change is GODSENT! I have plenty of maps, I can target farm certain maps if Really feel like. Harby and horizon orbs actually have a purpose and can contribute to the atlas/target map farm. I actually did 150/154 bonus objectives and 140/154 awakened maps without buying a single map in order to progress my map tiers - THIS WAS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE THE LAST TWO LEAGUES!

So yeah overall score :

League - 4 / 5 - reason for 4 is that the metamorph bosses were either dead before they spawned, or impossible to kill. The latter never happened to me but there are plenty of videos on youtube. The bosses feel too Rippy and less "mechanically coherent" but again I never really fought one, because they died instantly for me so I can't really tell.

Core changes 6 / 5 - the changes were perfect. SURE! Sirius is not Uber Elder and yes he is easier, yes the new "guardians" are a pale shadow compared to the Rippy Shaper guardians, that still hold the N1 spot for most exiles killed. But I don't care about that meta-conversation. The changes to the way the game is played were spot on and I can not recommend the game enough to anyone willing to listen!
They really need to work on the "too hard until it's too easy" problem that PoE is plagued by.
