I actually liked legion quite a bit. BUT. I had a really tanky build that did quite well. But still, i like the idea that i could run around unlock some hard stuff, maybe not too hard, and enjoy some crazy fight. Much like metamorph.

Im not talking the fights. I just dont understand "with one general" and how exackly im supposed to look for them? This is so "clear speed meta" friendly and that playstyle i hate the most. So i dont understand the mechanic of itself, exept incubators, they are OK.

You don't understand? The Monolith will show you the way. IF there's a general in your Legion Encounter, the Monolith will look like this:

It will point you towards the general.

This league was boring af. If you have the dps, the metamorph boss falls right over. That whole 1 second was the league mechanic right there. At least in blight you had to spend time strategically covering your core, and in legion you had to watch for ultra lethal rares. There's nothing all that exciting and engaging about metamorph league when you run over 1 trash mob and that's the entire league mechanic.
League Rates (From 3.0)

Harbinger league - 5/10 over 9000 mobs on 1st maps
Abyss league - 8/10 some creapy music
Bestiary league - 7/10 - new mechanics (Not ideal) and some worthy foes
Incursion league - 4/10 - 4 points only for vaal gems rework.
Delve league - 9\10 finally some dungeon
Betrayal league - 8\10 i loved old masters
Synthesis league - 2\10 worst craft system ever
Legion league - best league ever !!! 11\10
Blight league - 3\10 only for carrion golems !!

WORSTLEAGUE EVER!!!!!!!!!Metamorph league WORSTLEAGUE EVER!!!!!!!!!
If you want longer fights, don't play characters that can kill bosses in less than a second. Simple.
1 dead exile out of 10

mainly because of new atlas
Need more brains, exile?

Thats actually helpful. I watched some YT vids on legion mechanics but i havent fount a good one. THX!
The league is atrocious. The new atlas is even worse. Why did they ruin something that was good in the first place is beyond my understanding.

2/10, mainly for returning content such as blight and (to a certain extend) legion (since it's so f$@#ing rippy).
Metamorph league is ok in general but I'm meh on it, don't hate it or love it.

The underlying problem of PoE is that as the 2% no-lifers and streamers get better and better over time they demand harder and harder content to challenge them. That leaves the 98% reset of the player base getting left out of more and more of the endgame content. It's not just a matter of "git gud" (the typical elite response) as most of us don't want to have to play PoE as if it was a full-time job. The majority just want to have fun here without needing to get a PoE degree in "PoE mathematics". But as leagues come and go and power/speed creep spirals ever out of control the gap between the elite (≈ 2%) and the 98% ever widens. I view that as bad because GGG will have to devote more and more human resources to keep the elite players happy and less and less new content will be played by the majority. These diminishing returns and the growing player gap is causing a major rift. I'm squarely in the 98% of players and with each and every league my interest in pushing any build to level 90 is waning. That makes Metamorph a victim of GGG's own failure to minimize power/speed creep. Each and every subsequent league will mostly be viewed negatively by the 98%.

My only bright spot in Metamorph is that I finally (by upgrading to Windows 10 Pro) can get PoE to play with the high quality it should have had from the beginning. Something about PoE on my Windows 7 Pro was totally foobar-ed (I'll never know since all my other games ran great) but PoE QoP is finally good for me on Win 10 and I can get 200 fps much of the time.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Metamorph was a lot tougher than previous leagues, and I like that. While the new atlas could use some quality of life work, my only gripe is that whatshisname always seems to hint at someone he's seeking revenge over. Great, who is it, and why can't I kick his butt?

This would be a great point for a shaper/elder style fight where you have him in there helping you.

Perhaps I just missed something? Or perhaps with the change to the atlas end game GGG didn't want to introduce another end game?

Outside of that, it was great. I was always excited to get another full set of parts, though even after the drop changes I was permanently imbalanced on brains still, to go into the lab and do a fight. Was able to interact with the end game mechanic as much as I wanted to, and more importantly, could skip it if I wanted to though I rarely did. (only on poorly rolled maps where I was close to level and didn't want to lose xp)
