So how good was Metamorph league?

very very weak league.

2 bad leagues in a row doesnt make it better, tried their casino atlas before their transition to beta testing and I'm not sure if I want to chase the endgame of this game anymore after grinding 32 stones every single league, it's kinda a huge downgrade.

Metamorph is my favourite league to date. It has no stupid timers. Every map has an engaging boss-fight. You can actually choose what loot you get (what legion and incursion were supposed to be about). The negatives are visibility issues (once again), some unbalanced metamorphs and the too low droprate/occurence of catalysts.

The 3.9 atlas is a bit of mixed bag however. There is more control and the progression is better once you get used to it, but it is harder to unlock all maps and the conquerors have some questionable design choices (Drox banners.) The new lore is also weaker than the elder/shaper one (there is reason to actually fight the conquerors).

Sirus is the most boring boss fight ever. Way too much waiting and repetitive dodging of the same mechanics over and over again. You also mostly just feel sad for him and the whole "save Oriath"-thing is a bit rich considering you are supposed to be the exile, the outsider.

I think the new atlas will gradually get better as GGG develops it further. Sirus could be much improved by just removing the storm spawns (replace it with some actual dodge phase or something) and reworking some of his attacks to be more engaging (four beams, circle of beams and maybe the crater labyrinth too).

Not great, not boring, all ok. But can´t say I have played this League much at all. Should have played more, but the League was quite simply not too much interesting.
So in fact just the week after New Year I stopped playing this League. Will try to pick up to play some more before end, but won´t be too much I play this.
So, that is it. Not boring, not great, just ok. But just not really interesting enough to keep me in this league. But more Leagues will come, so I haven´t stopped yet.

level 92 deadeye, wasn't granted to fight sirus yet, 13 watchstones, got alot of currency thrown at me which didn't really impress me cause stuff on the market also got more expensive.

to be blunt, i'm stuck. got endgame gear, 2 * 6 linked skills, all vaaled 20/20, 21/20 gems but can't kill drox at level 80+ cause i don't do bazillions dps with single target ice shot.

my solution for metamorph was "inspired learning", you kill some rares and the buffs help you killing off the stuff quickly but that doesn't work for conquerors.
i simply can't respecc my tree every time i meet some of the bosses cause they spawn no rares.

if the league were longer i would level a second char but with three months it's not really worth it.

Good league (after the first month)! Really like the Atlas changes, even though the story seems weird. Also like the upped difficulty, but Metamorph clutter and oneshots are kinda meh. Like the implementation of Elder, Shaper, Blight and new influence types.

Once I got the Atlas sorted, it has been more fun.

I also have a 92 Ice Shot character totally decked out. I leveled a Icicle Miner character (now also 92 and decked out) but it was doing better with the bosses at about 80 with crap gear than my Ice Shot toon. Now it totally destroys almost every boss and Metamorph.

What I am getting at is that you need to reroll and twink up a zoo or mine build.

I won't mind, given that I get the mechanic now.
The start was rough, but I imagine that there will be changes before the next league.

I liked it, but like every league, it had it's issues.
