Also keep in mind viruses, keyxloggers and whatever dont come from nowhere use your commen sence.
Files named Big boobs, or Phat Pron dont promise sexual content. Most of the time the user has to accept the program to be executed. I doubt anybody uses a Zero day exploit to hack any POE accounts and even Zero days need circumstances like a old Flashplayer or an old Java engine. |

The SAME exact thing happened on my account, down to the last detail. I lost a lot of orbs, some gems, and all my identify and portal scrolls; When I attempted to log on, it wasn't accepted my password, and when I changed my password, it sent a validation code to my e-mail. Both my e-mail and game password are and were different at the time, and I never gave my info to anyone. I would REALLY like to know if I can get my items back, even if I don't know exactly what they were.

Nodwick, is your email address password and PoE password the same? If so, they shouldn't be. Change them to both be something different. If not, then your PC is compromised and they have access to both accounts. |

" I was in contact with comcast yesterday and confirmed that no one has been in my email account. Why then, was there no 'your account has been locked because it was accessed from a different IP' email? Maybe not an inside job, but perhaps someone has found a loophole which bypasses their security measures? SOMETHING doesn't add up here. Just gotta find out what. |

So what you're saying is that in the last couple of days (and you have been playing almost daily), your account was accessed and the items were all stolen, but your email was not accessed. Is that what you're saying?
When was the last time you played PoE prior to your account being accessed and the items taken? |

" Yea I've been playing almost daily. My email account was not accessed, but no emails were generated locking my account from the hacker. It's in this security measure the hackers seem to have found a loophole. I played before I went to bed on the 17th. Went to work on the 18th, tried to log in when i got home, but it told me i was signing in from a new IP, generated an email, etc. When i got into my account, it was missing everything of any value (the good gear, all my legendaries, all my currency, and all my quality gems). |
