Nice title. This just happened to me in a recent post. This community completely went crazy, calling me an idiot. I change my email password every 30 days, have an antivirus, never been hacked. Nope, still my fault. No one but me has access to my email. I'm not a kid. I'm 25 and have a full time job as a QA Analyst(I know my way around a computer). I don't have time to deal with this.
The only support they give is "Woops, your email got hacked. Sucks to be you."
Their database got hacked, not just my account. The hackers wont hack everyone at once.
You have no proof of this, i'd appreciate it if you stopped trying to spread misinformation.
I swear I'm not trolling. Just tell me what proof you need and I will give it to you. How do I prove my email was or wasn't hacked? I can't. So that must be why you tell everyone that the only reason to be hacked would be through email. Because no one can prove it. THAT is false information, my friend.
This is not misinformation. We all know for a fact there is no support for accounts that are hacked. It only matters to the people it happens to; since it's only a few people a day, you don't care. They didn't create a perfect log in system, accounts are still being hacked. You cant give the same "email got hacked" bull crap and dismiss EVERYONE that gets their account hacked. There are other ways to hack an account. Since GGG doesn't care about its players, I'm going back to a company that does, Riot Games. I feel sorry for the poor saps that bought that $1000 founders pack. I'm glad I didn't.
Yes we can prove that your email was hacked...either that or you gave out your password to someone you know (local) The password system will require email authorization for any logon attempts outside your locality. So either you gave out the info to someone locally and they stole your stuff (probably not the case) or someone hacked your email (meaning they were able to logon to it and authorize the external logon. Either way not the fault of GGG. A similar situation happened to me (For Guild wars 2). Nothing was actually hacked for me. I did however use the same email and password as WOW. I had been keylogged sometime in the past (didnt matter cuz i had an authenticator) They simply started trying the old WOW logons and found that for alot of gamers the info matched the other game. The lesson here was "IT WAS STILL MY FAULT" not the game companies.

None of those are ways I can PROVE it, lol. You would be taking me for my word. That's what I'm saying; my word is crap to POE support because they think that everyone is lying. I cannot prove that I have an email that I keep secure and change the password every 30 days. I Never gave away my password, of course.
Here is their customer hacked account process:
- Account hacked!
- Player Contacts support
- Support confirms your account
- Support says sorry, its the players fault. They cant do anything because your email was hacked.
- Everything the customer says is a lie beyond this point.
What if your account was hacked? Awesome support right?
You're still going to say its my email that is the problem? That is just poor/lazy customer service. You need to have something in place for hackers, ban them and return items. Anything is better than nothing. There is actually more than one way to hack an account, so there shouldn't be just one answer for everything.
"if you got hacked, it your fault cos was because you were using HAX"
"If you died from desy, its your fault because u should upgrade that toaster and move to USA"
"If your poor, its you fault because your noob and have bad KARMA"
"If you can't progress at melee its clearly your fault for being stupid and NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH"
"If you sold your Mirror for 1 alch its your fault for trusting people"
This. Community
...shows as much support and compassion as Piety. I hear people saying these forums are ALMOST worse than LoL/Blizzard. Guess what? I use them and even though they have occasional pithy comments/trolls/arguement they are NOTHING like the stuff that goes on here like the victim blaming mentality and masochist "Pain is good" mindset here. This forum stooped far below LoL/Blizzard forums have ever gone.
I find it funny how people dread the lol community coming over when they are themselves 10X worse.
If you are making a rant, you must make sure not to make grammatical errors as your errors are likely to undermine your message.
"it's" (in the title)
"it's"
"because"
"desync"
"it's"
"you're" x 2
"it's"
Despite the grammatical error, I like the title of this topic: "If something bad happened to you, its your fault"
The opposite title would be: "If something bad happened to you, it's someone else's fault"
This happens to be the American mentality: If you microwave your cat in the attempt of drying it, it's not your fault that it dies. It is the manufacturer of the microwave oven which is responsible because they did not write that you cannot dry your cat in the microwave oven.
When you microwave your cat, you are responsible for killing it
When you get hacked, you are responsible for getting hacked (except if the GGG database leaks)
When you fail with your melee character, you are responsible for failing
When your character dies, you are responsible for its death regardless of how it happened
When you sell your Mirror for 1 alch, you are responsible for selling it
Stop blaming anyone else.
You are wrongly imagining that something or someone else is responsible for your actions.
You expect that GGG will intervene:
"oh, here you go, have a new mirror but don't sell it for such a low price"
"oh, your account has been hacked because your PC has a virus, here now, we have recovered all your items"
"so, your melee build is not able to clear merciless? We'll fix that right away"
What kind of fantasy world are you living in?
This is not America. This is the Internet.
If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

I read 75% of the first page, scrolled down, saw that there's 5 pages of this shit.
I'm not gonna touch this with a 10 foot pole - because even then, I'd still get an STD from the elitsts in this thread - but I WILL leave with one factual statement...
No community is worse than the League of Legends community.

None.
This community is worse. At least the player support cares in LoL, you cant control every 11 year old calling everyone idiots. This community has the worst of both worlds.

Way to be selective to create an artificial point.
1) Actually, the opposite statement would be, "if something good happens to you, it's someone else's fault."
2) How does bringing up the opposite of someone's opening statement mean anything at all?
"Judge, I plead innocent; I swear to God I did not kill my wife!"
"OH YEAH? WELL HERE ON MY PAPER IT SAYS THAT THE OPPOSITE OF YOUR STATEMENT ACTUALLY WOULD MEAN THAT YOU DID KILL YOUR WIFE!"

I don't think you understand the underlining of None.
Because it's the bottom line. No community is worse than League's. Don't believe me?
Open up global chat. Simply say, "LEAGUE OF LEGENDS". Nothing more. Nothing less. I guarantee that within a maximum of 4 minutes, it will be a bunch of kids yelling at each other about whose Elo is the highest, and how everyone under them is an inferior being.
You start your reply by saying 'incorrect' and then go on to agree that 'the first time' would indeed be 100%.
Sigh...
The same result of hammer smash #3 can apply to hammer smash #1 since we are capable of basic observation of reality. My reaction might be "that was a stupid idea" the very first time because ...again... I knew it was a possible outcome when I agreed to hold the wood.
Try to understand that I'm not saying it's wrong to blame someone else when they do something that affects you negatively.. I'm saying if you insist on drawing attention to yourself when it happens, don't be surprised when some enlightened people point out that you could have avoided the bad thing if you practiced a little more foresight. To insult the people that point that out, as OP has done, is just another method of disregarding their advice and lends itself to repeating a similar pattern indefinitely.
Oh, right, so it boils down to the fact that you think people are 'attention seeking' when they start threads expressing an issue about the game, and they therefore 'deserve' everything they get. Fascinating.
Like I said in my original comment, "and won't get even after reading this".
" ... to let them know the game isn’t going to be very fair from here on out."

I guarantee it.
While I don't question your use of bold letters and underlines; I would take the League of Legends community over this one any day. They listen to their players and there is actually less 11 year olds.

*gavel*
"GUILTY!"
If A then B
Let C be opposite of A
Let D be opposite of B
Then both
(if C then B) or (if A then D) are opposite of the first statement.
"
2) How does bringing up the opposite of someone's opening statement mean anything at all?
In mathematics, you may not be able to prove that A=B, but you may be able to prove that A!=B, which implies that the former is not true.
This concept is also widely used in terms of the dialectical method.
