If POE is too much for you maybe you should go get that D3 game and buy some ponies to run around on.

Target audience on that game is 14 yo girls, same as wow, age 9 falls in that bracket.

I hear there will be rainbow colored ones you can buy too.

Remember Diablo 1? Pentagrams, burning inverted Crosses, clergymen impaled on pikes, townspeople left decapitated, women naked and chained to walls while gutted or outright ripped in half. Even Diablo 2's Harem levels had slave girls restrained to posts, clothes torn and sadistically tortured.

Then there's Archbishop Lazarus who has a dead kid, heart ripped out and all, right on his altar while surrounded by completely nude succubi.

To me, that sort of stuff enhances the experience and makes me want to rid of the evil even more.

+1 agree with everything u said, what we face must be clear enough that it's truly evil and must be made as realistic as possible to enhance our experience, else the game is going to look like another half-assed wannabe dark action RPG from the countless we have play already.

I agree I cant believe that the kids of today is so much sensitive to that stuff anymore TV & Games have more than enough violence already, I was also playing games like MORTAL KOMBAT 1 when I was still in elementary school at age of 7-9 and I was playing mostly with Raiden & Sub-Zero and I was ripping heads with their spines or blow their heads and a fountain of blood rain all over the screen :P

I was also watching at that age of 7-9 all the famous horror movie series of the 80's like Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th & Hellraiser, at middle school I grow up playing games like Resident Evil 1-2, Silent Hill 1, Dino Crisis 1-2, Parasite Eve, Galerians & other.

Better to start at a young age imo now it's very hard to find something scary, I guess I have immunity after over 20 years play any horror game & watching every horror/thriller movie I could find, anyway keep the children away from adult games.

At least they didn't add a ~1/12th damage corpse explosion mechanic...

You as a parent and a father have to regulate what you want YOUR kid to see. If you have a child who is saying they don't like something, it's not the game/movie/televisions fault. You can only control YOUR kid. Don't be lazy like the rest of America and cry to the media about what your kid doesn't like.

What amuses me is that it was today, at about the same time the opening post was made that I noticed the dead baby (or a doll I guess). And this is maybe my 20th time going through the starting area. It sets a nice atmosphere for the game.
