Its HC afterall.

Maybe make logout recovery timer. You can logout instant but only once per 10 minutes. It will prevent you from dying at lag spike etc. But this wont be abused.

Or maybe many players do not play hardcore because some players cheat this mode with the logout macro. I have seen some streamers play hardcore, and they shouldn't even be in that mode.

The only thing actually dangerous in the game, if you know what you are doing, is betrayal exiles. As these do multiple one-shots at the same time, making it basically impossible to outplay. Especially on some builds and in tiny areas.

When taking ping and disconnects into consideration, I'm sorry, but this is a risk of hardcore. Softcore players have the same risk, but with a 10% exp cost. Not to mention, if you disconnect, the logout macro will not work either. So the disconnect excuse does not fly. Technically this also goes for lag, since there would be a delay before the logout command would be send to the server as well.
What it comes down to, is that the logout macro is used to work around the specific of the mode the player choose to play in: hardcore. And that it is mainly used just to get out of dangerous situations.

Hardcore should be a level playing field!

You are not supposed to [Removed by Support] quit anything that's too challenging for you. Use a tp, quit in town whatever you must do.

[Removed by Support] It is taking the piss on real HC players, taking their pride down to world-supply levels. If you don't like the rough reality of HC, don't wanna get char whiped then play softcore like the rest of us who realized a young time ago we play to gear chars and don't wanna lose weeks on every die. That' what you are, a real softcore player trying to look big like all the other bois in HC.

Suggest 3-5s logout timer. If your internet is unstable play a more tanky person that won't die from a disconnect in front of a white monster. I don't have anything special net, but i can't remember when i last got disconnect or game crash.

One innate skill I have is sniffing out BS, and auto logout when the temp gets high is friggin BS.

Lag spikes are a tough one cuz its out of your control, but believe me, people arent using insta logout for lag spike mitigation. Its basically a cheat when you overextend plain and simple.

I deleted all my chars getting ready for 3.9 cuz the map redo looks interesting. Sure nothing super that I deleted but I have played this game and others quite a bit.

I am gonna try hardcore this league, I am sure I wont do so well, but we will see.
