So, what happens to stuff in standard in 2.0

Looking forward to 2.0 (and 3.9) but what happens to my stuff in standard (yes I DO care)?
linked items? legacy stuff (legacy rolled items, legacy skill gems)? chromes, jewellers, fusings? Last edited by Faendris#5470 on Nov 15, 2019, 5:39:40 PM Last bumped on Nov 17, 2019, 4:45:44 PM

Most reasonable solution for 2 billion item database is delete standard league permanently. It's old junkyard anyway.

It looks like PoE 2 is a new game starting from scratch.

Looks like jeweler/fusings will be used on skill gems... I guess corrupt gems are RIP'd. I guess we will chrome gems too?

Most likely linked stuff will carry over to linked gems since items no longer have sockets.
As for corrupted items and gems we'll have to wait and see. All items are Kaom's Heart now with shitty mtx on I suppose. |
|
|
So, there will be two separate games? Like, PoE 1 with all his legacy stuff, such items, ascendancies, and skill gem system, and PoE 2 with a fresh, new economy, new items, and revamped skill system (sharing themselves only the MTX we got until now)?
Man, this is confusing, but is unreal to expect they port everything from PoE 1 to PoE 2, since the core of the game system is changing too... |

As far as I understand Jonathan, if you start campaign 2 on standard, you will still have access to all your old items.
Now what the role of fusings will be after 4.0. Who knows? Heart of Purity

" According to Jonathan, both games will link together at end game. So PoE 1 and PoE 2 are just two different campaigns, and they link together at end games. |
|
" You will still have to link support gems to your main skill (probably). If you watch the tab when it's open there's no 6l there. There's 6 sockets but mostly 3 links. Also I think you'd have to use jewellers to open up new sockets since last ones are blank. No colour and no links. As for chroming I don't know for sure. What I caught (and I might have gotten it wrong) is that you'd find gems with more links on them so lets say you have to find a 6l grondslam for example to have all the supports unlocked for it. After that you might have to chrome it to get the desired colours. All speculation for now. Maybe more will be revealed over the weekend. |

" Sockets and socketed gems will be converted into new gem system somehow. Currently unclear. " Aside from removing sockets and socketed gems - nothing i guess. But, in case of legacy items, it might cause issues. " Most likely will be converted into new gem system - same as vaal skill gems in 3.3 expansion. " Nothing. retired from forum because of censorship and discrimination
