Challenges were pretty good except one

But its not what you are being told to play. Challenges are optional so..

When a challenge is "kill xyz with full energy shield", you are in fact being told what you have to play. And if you do what you are told, it's not a challenge, it's an automatic ding.

Complete these Encounters VI

Defeat The Vaal Omnitect while you are affected by a Tempest and Lightning Exposure.... WTH is that :( not work

Drop the omnitech under 50% hp.
Keep it there, preferably under 10%
Leave alva outside or she will be bugging you.
Let it cast exposure- it doesnt matter if temple has a lightning room omnitech will cast it under 50% no matter what just be sure temple has a tempest room-
and when you are exposed catch the tempest.
tempest lasts 4 seconds exposure more than 8 and can stack so be sure you are exposed first.
when vaal omnitech start casting waves get ready cuz you will get hit with a high % dmg.
then burst it down.

its a problem you have to solve.
i did by getting a chaos spell and kill her while being tanky. you dont need to restart a build because its fairly easy.

Challenges were not good.

You're not fooling anyone.
I agree I like the Vaal omnitect style challenge. But the RNG challenges such as chayula, rogue exiles, blighted rares, blighted uniques, are all terrible.

Blighted rares and uniques were counting on blighted maps so i can see how that can become an issue for players who skipped them.
Exiles could ve been forced but chayula is kind of tough to find since its behind two rng gates.

GGG could have got around the problem by reducing the challenge requirements by 1-2 of each enemy to face. You kinda achieve the goal of wanting players to face a variety of these monsters. But also such that you don’t need to chase down to the very last one. That was what they did for awhile in quite of the few past leagues. Not sure why they went back to this type of full clear challenge.

For those that are missing 7/8 blight lanes: I usually get them on t14+ maps. Already finished a couple of 8 lanes there.
You say Prison Cell, I hear 'Holiday'.

Yeah, going complete all of them is kinda forcing the rng side of the challenges onto players.
Narrowing down the finishing line sometimes makes things better like twin maps and undefined maps.

I would like to see more of these limited challenges even with the easier ones.

about challenges, Guess most of them are reasonable, except the chayula one was a bit tough and require some serious grind if you are unlucky, I didn't got any Aul while spending lot of sulphite but manageable as well,
mission grind wasn't an issue doing 3-4 people split rota , in white maps we just go each in his map so for exemple if it is alva I do 2/3 and call the rest to do the last one, encounters been a challenge this time; I enjoyed figuring out how to move the vaal in hallowing ground, as well as to kill Shaveron with a chaos spell , I enjoyed the part where I have to adapt in order to succeed in encounters, or use some items( rampage double curse, prophecies etc ),

Defeat Jaesyn, Kruug, the Frayed, Balah, Duke and Maker of Mires in the Hallowed Ground Map within 10 seconds of one another.

The name of the vaal boss is "Jik'shah" (unless the wiki is wrong, I haven't paid attention to it much in game), which means that .... the vaal boss kill timing in Hallowed ground is just irrelevant to the challenges.
