Challenges were pretty good except one

Blight challenges were what we wanted for such a long time. Except the atlas missions but since they were doable via rotations I did not mind it.

Loved the character bound challenges. I think we need more of these so they can make a difference between real players and challenge buyers.

Really liked the team communication required challenges. Some of these challenges needed good coommunication skills with your party and trust in your party members. I loved this part since its been an issue that we lacked challenges that required this sort of a teamplay. I think teamplay challenges should take place more frequently in incoming temporary leagues.

Endgame grinds were pretty easy and again required teamplay if you choose so which was a good change.

Loved the idea of introducing synthesis with a small chance in zana maps intead of implementing it right into the core game. I thought that was genius.

Really loving the league. Skippable league mechanics seems to be right way to go with your content. Looking forward to changes and fixes into blight.

I absolutely hated the direction the team was taking with the challenges in 3.4-3.6. Finding an RNG gated boss and killing it multiple times in very specific ways was a terrible thing to require. It made those challenges impossible for a huge number of players simply because they played builds that were not suited for those specific ways of doing the boss encounters. You kill too fast, or too slow, or you are not a dodging build, etc - screw you, buy it or no 40/40 for you.

In 3.4 you could at least try again and again after failing to kill a Delve boss the required way. In 3.5 it became 'blowable', but the Mastermind was relatively easy to spawn, modless, and you could do the challenges on the lv 68 version.

But in 3.6 it was taken 3 steps further: the Cortex was gated behind ungodly RNG, only 1 try per spawn, and random mods were added soon after the start of the league that made the Cortex challenge 10x harder - as the final 'fuck you' to the players with 'wrong' builds.

It was actually that one challenge in 3.6 (spawn the Cortex and kill it without getting hit) that made me quit PoE. I played a tank build that thrived on facerolling the endgame bosses. Getting hit, all the time, was what it did. Running around the boss and dodging everything was as far from my play style as it could get. Buying challenges is LAME, so after about 10 Cortexes I realized that I was not going to get 40/40 in that league (which would be my 10th full totem) and quit.

Tower defense league got my interest again, but I waited until the day teh challenges were posted before deciding to give PoE another try. If there was a challenge like that Cortex crap again - I would not be here. Please, don't ever make challenges like that again.

What 'team communication' challenges?? I'm yet to find Aul or waste a Golden Oil on a map, and then I only have the grinds to finish. All solo. Nothing in this league requires 'team communication'. Or am I missing something?

Hallowed Grounds: kill the Vaal thing, drag the rest to the boss, kill them all together quickly. Was pretty easy to do solo after I noticed that the Vaal thing was not on the required list.

If you can recall what other challenge took 'communication', I'll try to remember how to solo it. But I'm pretty sure that all challenges in this league are soloable.

I know how to solo them. Remember this is my 9th 40/40. I just liked how it required people to go and look out for a party. If you missed the point of my thread please dont post in it.

Sorry, I must have missed where you said anything other than how a party was REQUIRED for some challenges, repeatedly. I thought your point was that you liked being forced to party, and you actually want GGG to force everybody to party to achieve 40/40.

I strongly disagree with that. PoE is a solo game, for the huge majority of players. I don't want to be forced to party. Hence my posting here.

And this league will be my 10th 40/40 ;)

Looking down on ppl why buy challenges then still needs to do rota's for the atlas missions and did not even solo hallowed ground lmao.

Looking down? Where did i shame challenge buyers? I am as a challenge seller who is friends with many of them i think its perfectly fine. By difference i didnt indicate something negative.

When the differentials are "real players" and "challenge buyers" you are indicating that "challenge buyers" are NOT "real players", hence indicating something negative.
