Blight going core will suck and frustrate most players
Why would it? Blighted maps are the best. I really hope they bring them to core. I dont need blight dailys tho, just blight map drops now and then. Fun addition to the "endgame".

I am a filthy console player and I really like the blight mechanic. Precisely because its slower compared to the rest. If you compare the pace of all the possible league encounters its always go fast and hit hard or suck it. Blight is different. There you can actually play something else than tornado/icicle shot and still do pretty good. You can play something a newbie or SSF (lets face it console trade league is semi SSF) and still do good if you know hot to play the blight mechanic.
I really hope this goes core. Depsite the disgusting lag it causes on consoles. |

Any word yet from GGG regarding oils/anointments? Amulet anointment's are pretty useful so would like to see them as permanent part of the game.

They should just make the blighted maps a part of the normal map drops with a set % chance for it to be a blighted map if a normal, magic or rare map drops. Should be an easy implementation. Much better than adding another 10% chance-to-spawn league-npc.
Then people can go: "Oh nice a blighted map. I'll sell/run that whenever I want to." Last edited by arknath#4740 on Nov 22, 2019, 7:43:29 PM

My experience of blight league was I didn't get to fully experience blight. The drop rates were simply too low and between me and one friend playing each map coop that we found, we played maybe 6-8 maps total.
The maps themselves were quite impossible to do solo but was actually one of the first times I found myself communicating frequently with my partner where we needed help or if dangerous enemies spawned. Which was really good for group play. But we simply couldn't play because we couldn't get the maps. |

Chris and Jonathan already confirmed that it will be core by the way, in case some of you missed Exilecon.

" No word from GGG as to whether Blight will go into the core. One things for sure, at the 10% encounter rate of the league it will be too watered down except for the masters missions in mapping. At least we'll get that. One of the decisions facing GGG is setting a maximum number of mechanics in the core to not completely kill PoE (as in the straw that broke the camels back). In one of Chris' Baeclast guest appearances (late spring or early summer as I recall) he was thinking of setting a limit of 10. Then there would be a rotation of mechanics every so often with some being retired for awhile. But that was just his personal view and he hadn't talked it over with the other devs about it yet so it wasn't a certainty (at that time) what the total league mechanics in the core would be set at. I still haven't heard, has anyone? "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |

How do you even get the uniques? Are they just random drops or maybe a specific blighted tier has them?
|

" Most uniques are pure rng random drops with a few gotten by farming a specific boss (for example, kill Hillock many 100s of times to level a build to 7 or 8 and finally get Uber Hillock to kill for an Oni-Goroshi sword). Other way is through divination card farming (for example, run the Blood Aqueduct {zone 9} enough times {>100} to get 9 Humility cards to trade in for a Tabula Rasa unique chest).
