Why is GGG allowing "one shot" monsters?

I think 1 hit shots are very healthy and good for the game....
It's just that we would like to have an option to dodge those stuff... Like kitava/dominus hits can 1 shot you (unless you are overlevelled/geared) at the moment you face them. But you know the mechanics and you know when to dodge. So when that hit comes. Youll move out of the way, you die? No ones fault but your own , and if it happens you know that YOU failed... But if you die because you got hit offscreen is kinda bad, same with rare mobs. 99,99% of these mobs are trash. But because of that, you just wont read their mods at all. But that 1 rare mod that can kill you, because every thing is so fast action (which we like) kills you before you noticed or could react.... Its a pity, but I doubt theres a change which will make it better.... It will make some things better and other things worse, in most of these cases its better to leave it as it was |

Also what was it that one shot Ziz? The only truly what felt like unfair death I had this league was to the lightning Synthesis boss because I don't understand its skill set. " Exactly! Monsters are killing hundreds and hundreds creatures easily, often killing full hp bar of 10+ creatures in one shot, then complaining when one of the creature fights back ands kills the monster. GGG needs to balance the monster. |

" Shotgun was removed years ago. Area overlap is a different thing. Sounds like that is what you are describing here. I was only talking about projectiles. |

Why do you want to avoid it in the first place?
Hardcore is not about building a character that survives everything. It is about dying later than the other guys. But sooner or later you will die. Period. If you don´t like that or can´t handle it play softcore. Like, you aren´t hardcore if you can´t deal with that. I know I can´t, that´s why I play softcore. Cuz I´m soft, that´s just how it is. " i dont agree on every thing you said. i think they should make it realy hard, killing with 1 hit, is the first step of losing the control, the game is in evolution, and they will keep creating new godly gear, and we keep doing godly builds, that issue has a solution. and it is not killing player with 1 hit. " The term bled over, I get what your talking about and played when things genuinely overlapped (one of my best early characters was GMP incinerate) but most people these days when they say shotgun will just refer to anything that hits multiple times. I'm guilty of that as well but I can't see the point of keeping shotgun to mean something that doesn't happen anymore, its easier than saying Extra Proj AOE overlap. Maybe we should call it Clusterbombed lol |
