Quit PoE today

fair enough, op.
IMO 2 of the last 3 leagues were absolute garbage. synthesis and this tower defense are a joke.
dead game
bring back 3.13
Heh looks like a mod moved this to the feedback forums, which kinda does suit this thread indeed... but at the same time this place has less people in it than the general forums, so it's obviously beneficial for GGG to have less people coming across such "i quit" threads lol :p

Interesting posts thus far btw!

never said anything about "difficulty" either, just complexity.

which you find annoying while others appreciate the different ways to play endgame areas.

welcome in the top 5%, i dind't manage that in 7 years of gameplay cause it's too difficult to get there myself without help.

maybe, i just commented on some of the complaints you brought up.

yeah, sorry, was probably wrong about that.
should have written, "have fun in more challenging games which keep you busy for a longer time when nolifing them".

face it, you're just bored cause you seen it all and did it all in poe.

1.Difficulty, complexity... semantics :p

I find the game becoming too convoluted annoying as i originally stated. You seem to back yourself with "others", so i will too. By reading this thread, you can see how some of the "others" agree. At the end of the day it's kind of subjective.

2.Welp it's a knowledge based game (UE hasn't been out for 7 years btw). Do your research and you'll improve. Sites like poewiki, poedb, poeninja, poelab etc will help.

3.Why do you assume that i would "nolife" them? Getting to 36/40 + in PoE doesn't require nolifing at all. If you really nolife it, you can get there probably in 2-3 weeks. Now a league is 12 weeks, so if you play the whole league and you're a solid player, you can easily reach it.

4.The "seen it all and done it all" is not actually true and it's even less true because there's always something new in every league. My MAIN reason for quitting is probably the direction of the game, the adding of non-arpg elements into it and the poor state that fresh leagues come out at ... if i had to choose main reasons. 3 out of the last 4 leagues i have not liked as soon as the trailer came out and plenty of people agree.

I actually made a pretty in-depth feedback post about Shithesis after it had been out a while, feel free to check it out.

It’s been my general observation over the years that people who make “I quit” posts are still too invested to actually do so. Real quitters usually just stop playing because they no longer care about the game.

Looking how this launch had 35% less people than the previous one, i wouldn't be so sure :P Also i haven't liked 3 out of 4 of the last leagues and have not played 2 of them, so yeah i'm pretty sure i'm done. I did say though that 4.0 might change things, but i doubt it.

By your logic, noone ever quits any game at all lol...

Maybe, but i'm done :p uninstalled poe and everything related to it. I've disliked 3/4 of the last leagues and haven't played 2 of them. The only reason i made this post, is because i was a solid player, not someone who slightly dabbled with PoE, so i wanted to leave my reasons (feedback) for leaving.
It's true ofcourse that MOST people don't make feedback posts, but that doesn't mean that the ones that do, don't really quit. I've seen so many people try out PoE for a week or two, only to never again log in. Most people don't leave feedback or post anything anyway.

Obviously if everything i mentioned was changed, i'd once again play... otherwise i wouldn't even mention why i'm quitting, but let's get real - that ain't gonna happen, hence i quit :p

Wrong. In this case, the number of potential interested players is not infinite. PoE has been on the market for so many years that virtually all H'n'S and arpg fans know it. Therefore now there is really few options to "lure" some new customers or bring back old ones. But GGG have to take into consideration, that majority of players who already quit are disgusted. So, they can:

- bring some quality (ha ha ha ha)
- and innovations (laughable too)
- expansion to a new platform (alredy done, with poor results but considerable costs)
- expansion to a new market (already done - Korea)

It should be noted that the start of the Legion league was saved only by Koreans who are known for their passion for this type of games. They are also known for not being stupid and not having enough time to play a game every day for eight hours. As a result, some of them gave up very quickly and in addition there was a real invasion of Korean farming bots, which smoothly joined Chinese and Russian.

The result is very clear. A 35% decrease in the number of players combined with the devastation of the "market" so loved by GGG. As I read in the forum (because I do not even want to enter the poetrade), the price of exalt-chaos is around 1/170. After 2 weeks of league. Bravo!

Finally, we have the quittings of veterans who are the only ones able to explain to new players what this clusterfack called Path of Bugsile is all about. Well done. More MTX please!

Player peak count, at least for Steam, is barely scratching 1/3 of it's past highest point. 2 weeks into a new league.

Do enlighten us as to where these 85,000(2* the current count of 42,000) players are hiding? As they seem to be 'missing'.

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or someone who loves tencentggg too much..

but sure "quitters" return for a new league, always will but poe has the league hype but when it's a league full of bugs, performance issues and the league mechanic isnt that amazing the league will stall, I've seen the steam numbers but from there looks like the game already capped their numbers on this league almost 3 weeks after the release.. sure many many more don't use the steam client but you can notice some trends on trade (lack of sales, people already not answering for items or maps)

I got my fair share of blight done, did it got what I wanted and done. Did the endgame not suprised but this league needed alot of pre testing before this crossover TD+ARPG.
