One Portal right next to the pump and you are screwed.
And no, I just did one AFTER the patch, and they still spawn right next to the pump.

They also need to highlight the pump on the map much, much, much bigger; because toward the end of the map so much is on the map its very hard to see where the pump is.

Blight maps are a great idea, but very poorly executed.

My strategy for blight maps is still the same, don't run it, since i can't run what never dropped anyway...

Hi from the dilapidated Texas server which is once again a rubberband fest.
my goal for the league is done and I believe you should run them if you have them.. my advise is pick map mods wisely unlike your normal mapping cycle.

Use 3 Amber Oils for -60% Tower Cost. Spam Meteor and Temporal Towers. Worked for me for now until T11. Will try a T13 Today. Cobra Lash btw :)

omg you can use the same oil? /facepalm at least reading this thread was worth it :p even -30% mob speed would be really important.

My strategy is fireball towers in all filler slots, Arc+ slow on major junctions and a damage amp empower wherever enough areas overlap.

It works pretty well but as I was telling my friend who was struggling half the blight maps you get you are very heavily weighted to fail. If you get a close portal with no detour you are probably gonna fail, if you get the wrong uniques piling out of a close one you are probably gonna fail.

Be interesting to see if their patch changes help at all but i'm definitely gonna try -60% cost towers!

My tactic:
- use 1 damage aura tower in center
- meteor tower spam
- a few minion and temporal towers
- afk-park aurabot/summonbot near pump
- don't roll or reroll defensive mods for enemies on map

The aura's increase your (and minion) damage by ~425% while mob life is only increased by 50-100% (party penalty). The zombies, golem and animated guardian can fight bosses (if needed) and summons from towers seem to never die.

Parking an aura/summoner near pump feels rather cheesy though.
