omg you can use the same oil? /facepalm at least reading this thread was worth it :p even -30% mob speed would be really important.

My strategy is fireball towers in all filler slots, Arc+ slow on major junctions and a damage amp empower wherever enough areas overlap.

It works pretty well but as I was telling my friend who was struggling half the blight maps you get you are very heavily weighted to fail. If you get a close portal with no detour you are probably gonna fail, if you get the wrong uniques piling out of a close one you are probably gonna fail.

Be interesting to see if their patch changes help at all but i'm definitely gonna try -60% cost towers!

Yeah being flipped too hard + they are part of the challenges so prices will remain high for a bit longer I fear.

Seems like you need a buddy to do them. Some minion build to guard the pump while upgrading towers while the dps clears as much else as possible.

i use all the stoppers i can use and kill them while they stand there like retards xd

when you do this remember that the player with the NPC has to do the building, towers don't get built unless she's nearby *eye rolls* found that out the hard way

This actually works quite well for me too. I don't build towers for DPS. I build towers for control. I create two types of groups. Slow down gauntlets midrange from towers that include shock towers. I use my own DPS to clear these areas. And slow down gauntlets further other. I usually don't go out that far to clear those.

Obviously the bears and other that don't care still get through and you clear that yourself. I've been using 2 x Slow oil and 1 other in order to get achievements and the extra time is tremendously useful.

Watching the mini map is crucial.

Take a good look at the lay of the land before starting the encounter. Obviously you don't know where tower points will spawn and you can get unlucky and not get enough at points you earlier identified but you usually do, even if a bit later in the encounter.


Been thinking about using a Frost wall. I've become a fan since I started using it for keeping Shaper alive during Red Elder fight.

My DPS was still quite low (600k ish) and I managed two T8's quite well. Admittedly I was lucky to not get a short path portal.

Got my 6 link (along with some other improvements) last night and my DPS is considerably better but apparently still low at about 2mil haha.
