And I tried right clicking on the icon in my steam folder and running with my graphics card, but it just opens with my intel card anyway

Got an Acer Nitro 5 here, same issue, running a GTX 1050.

The game is running rather fine with Dynamic resolution turned on. It's not perfect but it's playable.
