Trade

Thus, you're part of the problem, not the solution...

Write one person... If s/he hasn't answered after half a minute to a minute, write the next one.

Don't try to trade for a pittance... If you offer to buy a map for 1C, you'll likely get ignored. For maps, use poe.ninja to bulk buy. People who don't answer if you want to buy a map for 1C will usually answer if you want to buy 30C worth of maps.

do u know how stupid that sounds?
bots comes after the system not vice versa. you cant create a system that favours bots that does not exist at the time...
Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!
Every thread new and new players say trade IS shit in this game.

In every thread the same MrsDeath and Cyzax still trying convince them that 2*2 = 5.

Poor ol' bastards, what a hard job these lads have.

Hi
Just kick offers on trade which ones owner not respond for example 10 times to different players successively.
It not hard and will be more better trading.

And how exactly a 3-rd party site is supposed to determine, whether seller ignored someone, or not? And if you let "false accusations" to slip through, it could be abused by botters/scammer guilds to get rid of "unwanted sellers" by "downvoting" them from multiple accounts.

Your proposal is even more flawed, than current trade system. We just need a better, automated trading system. That's how this issue should be fixed.

It is... because it has to be for the game to stay alive :-)

Actually, it is the players who think this game can support an AH who is doing the 2*2=47 math :-p

Someone has to do it, and it is never an unpleasant task to try to make people understand things they don't :-)

It has been 18 months since you posted the Trade Manifesto. Do you still stand by it?

This question prompted a long discussion. Many hours of senior developers talking about trade. Our conclusion was: Yes, we do stand by everything we wrote in the manifesto. We are not adding a Trade Market to the PC version of Path of Exile.

Except they DID NOT create the system. they simply copied/bought(whatever) a 5(?) year old system run by a member/members of the community.

They had ample chance to modify it in any number of ways before implementing an official 'version' that would discourage the bots/scammers. But they didn't.

thing is they're right. not that 2*2=5 but the game is designed in a way that effective trading would destroy it.

just one example:
you might have noticed that nearly every aspect/feature in ggg is designed as being able to be stored in an item and made tradeable.

this is by design to allow the player a high degree of freedom.

games that have effective trading don't allow for that freedom but lock these features on a chacater (you might have heard of soul bound items).

these "bastards" you mentioned are just more clever and experienced as you are obviously and are aware that all this freedom we have now would be gone in a wimp if offline mass trading would be there.

the current trade system is already much too powerful, it definitely needs to be more restrictive as mass flipping items generates more whealth than playing the game. this needs to go asap.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
It's high time GGG introduces that trading NPC in each players hideout -or any other system/suggestion/idea that DEvs can come up with- to improve trading process.

The NPC IMO doesn't disrupt the market as much, keeps far from the automation level of an AH, is simple/easy to use & understand, may also be adjusted to fit into the lore of the game so he looks like a real shopkeeper/partner and maintains the atmosphere of the tradings as something done in a personal level.

Trade will keep on the deflation path it always follows during each league, it will just happen a bit faster. That's not the end of the world as some believe.

And hopefully we will be happy! =D
Actually that may be problematic since happy ppl find something else to be bothered with, though I doubt anyting can bother me as much as the current trading ^^.
