I need an automated trading mechanic to enjoy this game again

Some stuff in my personal life changed and as a result I have way less freetime on my hands. I skipped out last league but was looking towards at least putting in a few hours in the evening this league. But today after finding an exalted orb and having to message several people with 0 response, I realized I can't enjoy the game anymore. I dread getting my character to maps, cause it means spending 90+ minutes sitting around, messaging people who don't respond to no end at all, looking for gear in order to actually start having fun again.

I was never really a "good" player, I haven't even beaten shaper by myself, yet I still enjoyed playing and killing a few mobs. But it has gotten to a point where I can't even do that anymore cause trading just takes up so much of time (90% of which is waiting for other people to respond).

Sorry for the kinda whiny post, but I figured I should at least let GGG know why I'm leaving the game for now. You're game is amazing, you should be proud of what you all have created, but trading has become an absolute time consuming monster that I'm not willing to battle with anymore in order to play the actual game. I deleted my legion character and left my guild mate all my stuff. I will most likely return if something like an auction house is ever implemented, cause I honestly enjoy playing the game.

I'm not a 100% positive on that, but there seems to be some "bots" - characters who stand by the stash in the hideout and buy/sell stuff.

In fact, today I was in the middle of a lab/izaro while watching UFC, somebody wanted to do a small trade and I said I couldn't due to my current situation, so the person told me to go get a trading bot.

This looks like one of those situations- damned if you do and damned if you don't. While I sure would like to take less time with trading (I do sell a lot of cheap/crap stuff all the time) I wouldn't like to do something against the rules.

Looks like you want to trade but not to play the game. You don't have to trade in order to play the game. Try SSF to see what the game really is.

Why exactly you are telling GGG what have you done with your legion character and your stuff? It looks like you trying to be dramatic.

I'll tell you something - old players are leaving the game and new players are joining the game every day. There have to be department that makes financial planning, and when another thread "I'm leaving until you do X and Y with your game" is created, someone in there is saying "exactly as planned".

Yes, this game is in desperate need of automated trade to maintain gameplay fluidity.

Drops are already balanced around the fact that trading exists in the first place, so it is absurd to say that someone who wants automated trading to spend more time playing the game only wants to trade instead of play the game.

SSF is like HC - its a challenge-mode for bragging rights and isn't really indicative of how the game is actually balanced.

But hey OP, these WKs don't care about any reasonable arguments for automated trading. They want GGG to focus on what they currently focus on - MTX and more crap, I mean loot, every league... and sadly GGG caters to these WKs and streamers instead of working on QoL changes that the majority of players would like to see.

This is precisely why I encourage you to try out Last Epoch. The developers for that game plan on implementing a Bazaar system where players can go to a market and place items to be sold automatically, allowing gameplay fluidity for the player while their wares sell.

If GGG continues to be stubborn about this, they will just lose potential MTX customers to other ARPGs.

Player interaction shouldn't be forced in such a cumbersome way... that's how you piss off players from wanting to interact with others as opposed to encouraging them to interact with others.
