Is Legion GGG's best league to date?

I started in Legacy and this has been BY FAR the best league as far as the mechanic itself and the rewards associated with it.
Regardless of what GGG does in future leagues they need to build on the reward system they implemented in Legion. The ability to drop just about anything from running the mechanic is AWESOME.
I made more currency in Betrayal but it was so boring, Legion is similarly rewarding but more enjoyable.
And as others have said, when you make lots of currency it opens up the rest of the game for you via alts, challenges, min-maxing etc. It just makes the game more FUN.
Well done GGG, please continue in this direction.

I'm really enjoying Legion. I never skip a monolith.

Top 5 league for me easily.
The league mechanic is fine, but its the melee work that is the cherry on the top.

Synthesis had so much potential. If it were more polished on release it would've been the best.

This league is ok. I need a little more depth in a league mechanic. Betrayal's syndicate board is a very fun mechanic in my eyes.

This is exactly on the league. By introducing league that gives you MORE reward if your build is good, instead giving the same reward, just quicker, as it was always, GGG just put big middle finger to everyone who ejoyed "non meta not ZOOM ZOOM builds".

But there are tons of zoom zoom builds that can do glacier map lol. So there IS build diversity.

The T2 glacier meta is one of the worst things to ever happen to poe. All of the endless end game potential and challenge dumpstered so level 94 characters with 40-150 exalt of gear can beat down on mobs 25 levels under.

Worst than players running blood aqeducts and quarry all day.

GGG needs to reward end game play offset by initial cosand risk and the stupid amount of trading and micro mng needed to chisel/alch/chaos/vaal/atziri fragment/scarab/prophecy after EVERY map and then you have to sell the maps that drop one by one.

that's one of the biggest desgins failures in Legion the monolith boxes ignore the %'s on maps but the mobs get the maps affixes and %.

it didnt ruin the league for me but clearly GGG does 5 steps forward then 8 backwards when things start to happening..

depends what you play the game for.
if all you want is currency then you gotta do what is most efficient to get currency, which right now is running low tier open layout maps and farming legion. IMO that isn't a bad thing.

high tier maps are already way more rewarding, OVER THE SAME MAP POOL, as low tier legion farming. guaranteed.
if you take 100 t16 eldered maps with 4x sextants and 3 frag/scarabs and run those, you'll make significantly more profit than running 100 alch and go glacier maps. i guarantee you.

the issue is you can farm 100 glacier maps in 2 hours and oversustain map returns where as doing 100 t16 eldered maps would take significantly longer and is much much harder to setup and sustain.

its about ease, and ease is always the better way to go for this game. its why winter orb is best, its why cyclone is best, its why BV was best for 3 fucking years. not because its the most powerful, but because of its ease.


if t16 maps were buffed to where you'd get an exalt every 10 maps instead of every 100-200 or something, then people would just speed farm t16s and put the time and effort into figuring out the best way to sustain them, because at that point it would be worth it - glaringly worth it.

You need to realize this game is something more than farming league mehcanic in the most efficient way.
