Is Legion GGG's best league to date?

well almost 1 month and days.. might be.

better, less players = less servers overloaded.

In terms of gameplay & mechanics, it's the best or one of the best for me. I'm still enjoying playing the league if the game let me to. This is the first league I made a new character aside from my starter build because I still want to continue playing the league even if I completed my league goal.

My only gripe about the league was it is also the worst league for me in terms of technical issue. The lag spikes were frustrating and before anyone say it's on my end, it's not, because the lag spikes are based on areas/instance. Some areas, it's normal ping, enter other areas, double ping, enter other areas upto 1k ping, back again to the area with normal ping & your ping is normal again. So the areas/instance created by the game for me was the issue.

It's true though about game performance. Works much better now.

IMO it is the best league so far. Simple, fun and profitable.

Look at the prices of the incubators,
the new jewels,and all the new things that have entered this league.

And You'll understand the whole picture.


It seem that they are not Especially interesting

Legion is by far the most Newbie friendly league out there and with the updates on melee it sure has been a blast to me.


By far the best league i have played in PoE thus far.


If i were to count my top 3 leagues it would had been...


1st)Legion
2nd)Betrayal
3rd)Incursion

League quality really depends on your perspective and your relative priorities.

I personally put a high premium on the ability to make a large variety of builds which work with the league mechanic, such that I feel like I have many options available to me. This is what makes ARPGs appealing to me in the first place: the element of choice.

According to that metric, Legion is a very, very hard failure. Just as bad as some of the worst. (I do realize it succeeds much more readily according to other metrics.)

That said, this is a criticism that has been directed at GGG by many players for multiple leagues now, and they have shown no sign of changing their attitude toward encouraging build diversity, so it seems likely that GGG does not particularly care about improving this aspect of the game.

Choice, evidently, is not so important to GGG.

I realize it is not so important to many players either (otherwise they would have seen drops in profit by now and acted accordingly), but for me at least it is extremely important in any RPG I play, including an ARPG.

Not even top 5 for me tbh but far better than synth.

Risk/Reward: I think it is one of the best I played.

Challenges: Sorry, but it has that high RNG part that I do not like. I prefer by far that you show how skillful you are and not how much you grind.

Bug: Way better than Synthesis or Betrayal. However, for me (Many of my guild mates did not have any lag), the high lag was solved only with the last patch.

MAJOR FLAW: However, that league had a HUGE design flaw for a melee league: Best way to farm/get the challenges was to use a bower or contagion (caster) character. DOH!!!

Honestly, I still prefer Delving even if you make more money by fighting the armies with the emblems. Delving is a permanent never ending progression. I still enjoy the temple. There i something to upgrade the rooms and build the paths that is just fun to me.

For next league if GGG implements 5 QOL that affect me directly, I plan to buy a supporter pack. I spent my available money for stash tabs, next will be supporting GGG (Or Lucent...lol). If they make more available Delve, I will be all in to buy a support pack.

It's just loot and monsters too kill, no depth, no charismatic characters, no shenanigans and I need me some extra shenanigans to keep me going. Betrayal and Incursion beat it for me. Delve would probably too but sulphite was not shared between characters so it held League back a lot from full potential. Such a simple design flaw kept it from becoming great.
