strange that every other game punishes the player for death but manages to keep it fair
STRANGE!!.... but in path of toxile everyone sticks with justified death penalty well then it wont change your mind when its at 20% exp loss also the boss should fully regenerate his hp if you die to him because losing a portal isnt enough right? lol how about reducing the portal for solo players?? maybe 3? if you play with a full party of 6 then you also have no single chances to go back if you die oh wait that doesnt fit in your low minded universe aka the "death penalty is ok" universe... suggestion reduce portals to maybe 2 or 3 boss should fully heal if you die you lose 10% on death but you have a chance to pick up a certain amount of exp + you get a slight boost for the rest of the lost exp 5% on pickup 5% as a booster encourage players to play solo not as a team there is no meaning right now running solo since in party play you have more loot more exp and lesser chances to die ... Ok - lets say u have some logic in mistakes to be punished somehow - but u know what...i never INTEND to do that mistake...i dont know what the outcome of each monster is, i dunno that some white monsters do more dmg than some bosses even and more other.
BUT HOW CAN IT BE 10% OF MY ENTIRE EXPERIENCE BAR ????????????? Why would 10% of experience i havent earned or have yet be stolen from me ? Just take 10% of the exp i currently have at the current level - so if im at 94 and have 50% exp - take 10% of it - meaning 5% - not 10% of 100% exp - of which half is not earned or played for yet (meaning time spent in game - real life time i mean) Wouldnt that be more fair ? Even so - i might not know math...but u dont know grammar - SOFTcore - should be for SOFT players - and HARDcore for HARD players that like it hard ;) The ideea is that the amount taken is huge, and not fair, it should be 10% of exp u have earned and played for at current level, not from the invisible not earned yet one also. And if the game freezes and i die, or disconects or i die, or just crashes like every time, how does that get justify - at least if im streaming and i can prove it there should be an option to get my exp back so my time played earning that amount is not wasted cause of in-game bugs that i have nothing to do with. " "getting a slight boost after dieing" basicly means a reduction of the exp penalty,the result is the same you need less exp to level up than before such a change.... stop trying to hide your wish to reduced exp penalty behind an pure optical trick.losing only 5% of total level exp is the same as losing 10% of total level exp+a boost of a 5% total level exp over teim x imo it always was wrong that you could zerg down a boss with 6 portals when you play alone (delve does it the right way) sure for non boss arena map bosses this would be a problem,but those are joke anyway Shaper,Elder,their Guradians,all Atziri encounters etc should reset after death with the exception of Shaper Guardians (and delve) non of these bosses are affected by mapmods,they are predictable and that makes them a lot more balanced (regardless of your opinion of their strenght/balance overall) |

Imo xp lose should go away, because:
1) People would get to 100 lvl easily... so what about it? 99% of us already settle down on 90-95 as a max level of our builds and then give on exping completely. What's the difference, if we all settled down on 100? The builds could be a little more interesting with those 1-2 more clusters to take. 2) Currently leveling to 100 is by far the most boring task in this game. You mindlessly grind the easier content, that gives you 0 challenge. When someone gets that 100lvl you don't think "Wow that's really skilled player!". Instead you think "Damn that's a one patient man". 3) High level content is already limited by the number of portals. It's not like you can just throw your body at the boss and wait for it to die. " This has nothing to do with grammar though, "SOFT" and "HARD" are not qualificatifs for difficulty, they are part of a word that just has a different meaning ... and then they are use as technical terms in a video game. Softcore leagues are already significantly easiesr than Hardcore leagues, the difficulty here is relative to the game, not to you. " Terms of Use, point 23: " (I think that we can 'extend' this part to also apply to lost experience, anyway they don't change anything back to the way it was regarding what happens in game) Some relevant pieces of information here also. I also seriously doubt about that "most deaths are from crashes, not from OP stuff" unless you are playing on a toaster. If you came here to complain about the penalty, you are likely dying quite a bit already, and it seems quite unlikely that most of it isn't your fault.
