Be aware that if you use the site that most people do to determine currency values that their values may soon be adjusted to influence their newly acquired parent company which runs a popular RMT site and therefore are HIGHLY SUSPECT. No links or names provided but you guys should know what this refers to.

We'll see what happens. Here's a screenshot of the currency table as of today, for future reference.

In my opinion, GGG have made the situation worse with their rather heavy-handed handling of this situation. It is like they think they can prevent people from knowing about, or using RMT sites and their actions contributed to making a popular, but neutral exchange info site go running into the arms of a RMT site.
I made a post about this behaviour and guess what, it was instantly locked.
Hopefully they learn something from this.

How is he crying? Or are you one of the people who seem to buy currency? It's a fact that the people that made that actually sold it which makes me a bit sad.

The real question I have is if people will actually start quoting that site's prices as gospel less often. I hope so, but I have little faith in humanity these days.

It may be... if it stays consistent with the true market. If it becomes adjusted in order to boost RMT sales, however...

Yeah, and the fact that I said "be aware" and such things as "may soon be adjusted" rather than "OMG THEY ARE THE DEVIL IT IS ALL FAKE!"

I'm really sad to hear you're going. I always respected -removed- because it was well made and reflected the fact that currency prices would change over time (rather than being a static image of prices). I was a bit surprised (to read in this post) that any mention of -removed- was removed from our forums because of the RMT ad. If this was elevated to me then I missed the message. In all honesty I probably would have okayed the removal because of our policy against RMT. I trust the moderators' judgement in cases like this and while I wouldn't have blamed it for account compromises, I do agree that we can't condone a site that is actively encouraging RMT. I am completely fine with the site being mentioned if there's no such ad on it, though.
With regard to the multiboxing: It is unfortunately fine for users to run multiple copies of the game at once - because they could be doing it with a group of friends or multiple computers. As long as they're not using input proxying, we have to accept that people will have multiple copies of the game open if there's incentive to. It's up to us to change the game rules to disincentivise that type of behaviour. We did this with the changes to the chaos orb recipe last week, and there are more changes coming.
I'm sorry that what was fun turned into a hassle. I understand about receiving hatemail. A portion of my daily work is seeing the worst of what the most angry users have written and trying to help them out. It can really take some of the fun out of what would otherwise be a dream job. Thanks again for your work and the help you've been to the community.
Mod Edit: Removed website name
