Make the endgame higher maps viable for "normal" solo characters

The reason as to why you, and many others, are having so many problems with RNG is for the simple fact that you are all heretics. You are sinners who have foresaken the ancient RNG gods of the old world MMO/(A)RPG's and are therefore being punished accordingly.

I never have issues and always soloed everything and had great map drops just fine with my minions. But I have faith and am not without sympathy for you or the others, so I will offer you this prayer to be said before playing in order to appease the RNG gods of old.

if you don't save your higher level maps to do with your friends you are simply a fool.

If i want online friends i play an MMO.
If i meet real friends i prefer a bar, a beer and maybe a girl.

Their shouldnt be any need to play with groups in an ARPG.

Furthermore i want to have fun playing maps, a bit of a challenge. If i take 5 "friends" that will be okay to watch tv while facerolling but not any challenge / fun at all.

Exactly. This requirement needs to disappear.

Do not think that I didn't run maps with "friends". However, there are many problems that make me completely dislike group play.

- no real control. At how much I lose if I die at this point, I want to be able to control the flow of the action 100%
- because of safe play (ranged Ice Spear/totem Witch), I don't see the drops many times (they fall off-screen, where the melees are), and I have to rely on the honesty if my friends to tell me "X orb dropped for you" etc.
- screen clutter from loot is HUGE. This is a MAJOR annoyance to me.
- not enough portals to take the loot to vendors, I constantly need alterations, hence need to vendor for shards
- the spell FX are criminal and add to the clutter, not to mention to the frame drops (including on my high-end workstation, no point going in detail but it's dual hexacores and very powerful Quadro SLI)
- the game is unplayable in MP on my laptop, to which I am relegated many times because of my workstation being busy rendering for my job

Single player high-level mapping needs to be just as efficient as grouped mapping, or it should be stated that people are EXPECTED to group for certain challenges to become viable.

You don't NEED to run them with anyone. Ever.

Do you think that when a group of four has no one online, and its just you, that you run the highest level maps? No. You run lower level maps to get currency. They do the EXACT same thing I'm telling you to do.

Guess what. I found my damn lioneye when I was farming in lower level maps. As well as a pair of wakes. You don't need to run in a pair of low life MF boots to MF. You are simply unwilling to do what everyone else is. Which is farm.

I am unwilling to farm to be able to farm. Yes, this layered farm is crap. I already farm high level maps, let currency that I need drop THERE, not somewhere else where it's inefficient to farm XP wise.

I agree. After getting to 79 on my marauder and 75 on my templar, the highest map I ever got were 3x lvl 71 maps. I keep spending alts/chisels/alchs on 66~69 maps to get max quantity as well and still not even find higher maps to do normal progression.

Like OP, I get about 1~ % for a level 66 map, I ran already maps nonstop from 63 ~ 79 only from doing 66~68 maps, some 69's and only a few 70's and 71's. I don't mind RNG, but I cannot call "progression" when I get higher, I have to play lower maps.

Drops compared to groups are very low as well :/

Tried to get some irl friends into the game, they stopped playing cause they did not enjoy the game in general, still left alone doing maps...

You play high lvl maps. You don't farm them.

Further, in the OP, IIRC, you were complaining about not finding upgrades. I bet you don't. Since you're not farming.
