Regarding CwDT, everything looks to be set up properly and I don't see anything in your gear that conflicts with it. Maybe go to a low level map in the story and only equip your weapon that has the CwDT links. See if it goes off (remember, they'll be doing really low damage so wait a bit).

I hope that helps. Let me know if it doesn't or if you need anything else. And thanks again.[/span]
Thanks again for the replies and help. I was able to max out my resistances (except chaos) with a few small crafts, and I see where I missed some life nodes. Knowing me I "saw something shiny" and got distracted from where I was going on the tree.

As far as Purifying, I tested it with just that equipped and it does appear to be working, I guess I just cant see, or was expecting a different visual effect. I don't see consecrated ground for example, just looks like my head is on fire.

Anyway, thanks for the guidance, I'll be working with it! Thanks!
Awesome. Glad you got it. Consecrated Ground looks like shiny cracked earthquake cracks on the ground once it's cast. It stays on the ground. Anything on the ground will be hard to see with this build with all the minions running around.

Great job asking for help! Have fun the rest of the way and let us know if you need anything else and anytime.

You're very kind to take the time to be thankful. Your build is very different from mine. It looks fantastic and complicated :). I'm happy to have helped in whatever little way I did. Great job getting to the center of the Atlas as a new player! How new is new? I see all your characters are Legion.[/span]

Yes, I started new in Legion :) It was quite a lot of help, since I really had no clue how to get started and you explained everything really well, and also adding the wiki links directly was really helpful. I was totally overwhelmed by some of the other guides so it helped a lot that you provided a build that can run with any gear so I could get used to the skills/links before having to think about gear setup. I play one-handed (with a gaming mouse though) so some stuff is naturally out for me and I was glad to find this with no complicated flask setup or rapid succession of 4+ skills, stress free indeed. I hope you'll continue your guides next league, I'm looking forward to it!

Thats a very helpful response. That's a lot of good information for me. Thank you! I'm happy to have helped :).

My plan is to keep making guides. For time sake I can't have as many as I want, but I'm thinking I'll have 6 guides that I respond to that'll have most elements of what I like in PoE incorporated into all of them (I won't be able to squeeze in everything though :(.) So that'd be good for responding to one guide a day. I've been writing the Zombie build since 3.1. I'm hoping to keep all these going as well.

Thanks for the kind words. If you have any suggestions for the guide, things I've left out or should add, let me know.

You'll notice some changes to the guide's layout. I'm just adding some layout ideas I wanted to include going forward. I'm doing it now to save time later if the build needs to change because of 3.8's future patch notes.

For $8, yes. They can be Mummies.

Hey, just tried out this build, and noticed an issue with Commander of Darkness and the Hatred + Generosity aura setup. It seems that because Hatred does not affect "you and your allies" it doesn't proc the extra 30% damage or the +20% to elemental resistances. I've already posted to the bug forum that this seems to be a silly wording issue and that if you have a beneficial aura up at all you should get the benefits from the node, but thought I'd mention it here as well. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2595414/page/1#p22308533

Going Puppet Master instead will let you get the +30 damage whenever you summon skeletons and going Mistress of Sacrifice will allow Spirit Offering to buff you as well.

Edit: I've tried switching out Blasphemy and Temporal chains for Summon Spectre and Precision, and that worked pretty well, I've also tried Discipline and Desecrate, which provided lots of corpses for the CWDT link and Raise Zombies, but I think the Raise Spectre + Precision combo is better. Pride + Enlighten might also be a good choice but will have to wait until I have more Chromatic Orbs to try.

Hey MasterZoen,

Thanks for the good post! There are a couple of limitations to what you bring up:
- GGG themselves have are limited in the number of characters they can use to describe things in-game.
- They have to differentiate the wording between bonuses that give whatever bonus PER aura and bonuses that give whatever bonus no matter how many auras are active. (Compare the wording in the Guardian Ascendancy.)
- The tooltip in the game doesn't really give any valuable information for minions which makes it impossible to see how your build changes really impact your minions. (Though this link is about curses, check out Mark's reply as to how the Tooltip is designed to function.)

I agree that there should be text that says, "non-curse auras" like the rest of the tree. I'll add that into the description of Commander of Darkness if it's not already there.

Keep in mind, we don't care about OUR damage, only minion damage. The benefits for Commander of Darkness will only apply to our minions as we have Generosity linked to Hatred. So that means (considering what I said above regarding the tooltip) that you won't see the difference in any way in-game. Which is lame.

You'll find the WHOLE community is on board with you that the Tooltip needs a complete revamp.

Good post. I really hope GGG makes the Tooltip more dependable soon. I would hope/expect it'd be for their 4.0 expansion next Christmas (not this Christmas).

I hope you're having fun! Let me know if I misunderstood your post.

I can understand needing to limit how wordy things are, but I don't think Commander of Darkness is increasing damage for minions at all with just the Hatred+Generosity link. As the node says "you and your allies". If you remove Generosity then you gain the elemental resistances and I believe you will then get the bump to minion damage as well. I tested by switched out Temporal chains and blasphemy for a Purity of Elements and the Zombies began wrecking things much faster. I switched it to Precision and the rate at which they wrecked increased by a small bit more. Since the minion damage isn't shown by tooltip I have no real way of showing this, all I can suggest is that you try it yourself using a single zombie against a boss, Dominus is usually my test target.

Anyways, thanks for the neat guide.

It very well could be broken as it'd be really hard to know one way or another.

The best way I think you could test it would be to unsocket all skills that trigger. Then unsocket all of your zombie supports. Replace your current zombie gem with a level 1 zombie gem and make sure it doesn't level to level 2. Turn off ALL your auras. Find an aura that doesn't improve damage (your Purity of Elements is perfect). Now, with nothing else on your build that can deal damage, take your level 1 zombie gem (with no supports) to a low-level area where the normal zombie attack takes a few hits to kill an enemy. Like you did, only raise one zombie. First, go through the area with NO auras on. Only watch for the damage of the normal hits, not the Zombie Slam. Then, reset the area and turn on Purity of Elements WITHOUT Generosity linked to it. Clear the map again the same way but make sure to stay really close to your zombie as auras have a really low radius at low levels. Zombie damage should go up. Then reset the map and do it again but with Generosity linked to Purity of Elements. Damage should go up again.

If Purity of Elements improved the damage of your minions, you know the offence of Commander of Darkness node is working. If you want to check the defence of the node, just raise a minion, bring up the Tooltip and select the minion skill that you'll be looking at, click on the defence tab, and watch the resists as you turn on an aura (like Hatred) that doesn't improve resists.

All that aside though, thanks for the thanks! I hope you're enjoying the build. Thanks for the thorough post.
