" Ah yes, of course. The 'states can do no right, and private bodies can do no wrong' crowd. Censorship defined purely in terms of state repression, so that private entities can't ever be accused of it - by definition! How convenient! Btw, ever been on a bus? Or subway? Or other public space? State product, states' house rules, eh? Or are you gonna pull out the old 'it's funded by taxpayers' excuse? Hint: don't. |

This was a non-issue. People just left global 1.

This is has to be done , and i am glad they are doing this , the chat was Atrocious and Disgusting , the Community wants to Communicate with each other about the Game and aswell help new Players .
There are several Platforms out there where you can Discuss Politics Religion or your so called " Freedom of Speech " there . |

I just wish they would explicitly ban spamming multiple threads in a short period of time for the same topic in their code of conduct. They clearly reserve the right to remove them through the posting policy, but it's not explicitly stated.
Freedom of speech pertains purely to the government. You're on a commercially owned forum/game/server where their rules clearly need to create an environment that pushes their business goals forward. General discussion/global chat can already get pretty disgusting at times, alienating at least a portion of their player base. On the other end of the spectrum, banning categories of speech will alienate another portion of their customer base. They clearly need to make a decision about which direction best serves their product, because no matter what choice they make they are alienating some portion of their consumers. This was their decision. I'm personally good with it. If someone needs a place to spew their opinions about politics or religion, then maybe try a place where people go to discuss that. This is a gaming forum/chat. Talk about the game. One caveat, if you have an off topic section then I think that should be a completely no holds barred kind of place. But their house, their rules. Thanks for all the fish! Last edited by Nubatron#4333 on Jun 5, 2019, 9:23:24 AM

This is fantastic. I'm all for people having their moral convictions, but I certainly don't want to hear about them in a video game I play to escape my everyday working world.
