as long as armor only protects from phys damage then its hard to think a reason to stack large amounts of it in detriment of other defensive layers or raw HP. things like inmortal call and endurance charges are for the most part enought to deal with non telegraphed physical attacks

Ever considered that there are auras which eat up your mana and with Watcher's Eye, which is the most used unique in the game, give insanely good bonuses compared to this 1% phys reduction at places where it's needed?

Even if the armor is reworked, 1k armor isn't shit compared to every other place that provides it.

Honestly the hype is backwards here. If they're trying to "hype" us up with garbage like this, I don't even want to see the melee changes.

as long things such as defenses has DR nothing will trully solve anything but it will remain like right now.

I can see the node being useful but unless there are armour scaling dmg sources and no rework of what armour protects from. otherwise ill be extremely hard pressed to think of a time id purposely grab this node.
Still zero DoT protection...

Again, yes, in its current state I agree; armour isn't particularly good. That is why we should all just wait to see what 3.7 brings rather than complaining about it in its current state.

Who knows, armour could be the 3.7 elemental hit. They might make armour reduce ele damage as well as phys damage. We won't know until full patch notes, so why be down on it already?

errr ya you're right. i meant iron grip.
it would be sweet if there was a jewel socket to give BM/unwavering stance a change, but yeah oh well.

i don't imagine they'll change the tree that much. we'll just have to work with what we get
