Im not rly sure I agree with this view of armour being somehow tied to melee. All the best melee weapons have the majority of their good nodes in evasion or energy shield parts of the tree.

I play a lot of melee, always have, and Id say a good 90% of the melee builds Ive made since open beta have been evasion or energy shield builds. Any armour melee builds I have on the go are either a hybrid with energy shield, evasion or max block.

pure armour melee builds are literally the worst melee builds in the game for anything outside of lab farming, if thats what people are playing and they want melee to be buffed you can buff your own melee experience right now by deleting ur armour melees and rerolling any other sort of melee build.

Look at armour from the point of medieval period, we just couldn't make a wound to an armoured warrior if 90% of his body was equipped. Armour should have % chance of bleed avoidance, rather then dot damage reduction.
And if we get another increases of bleed avoidance, we would be immune to it.

I look at it as weapon type similar to pickaxe or spiked mace etc but i can agree with you tho imo ggg made it this way so not only rare mobs can do damage to you from bleeding /maybe/.
