did you realize what you said makes absolutely no sense "Mr.Very good player with private profile" ( maybe some lvl 85 SC player? LOL )
If players die clicking in the unfreeze button then they can just NOT CLICK ON IT anymore.
You don't need to play like streamers, it's up to you. The button will still be there. You click if u want to.
done.
Bullying others in your post requesting a feature will only get ignored by the staff.
I'm not bullying nobody, what he said just makes absolutely no sense.
That's a button and you can choose not to click on it.
If you die it's your fault. It's like die while not looking at the screen and blame who? the game? It's your fault. Always it's your fault.
The only death that isn't our fault is packet loss/crash. That's a common sense to any HC player like me.
since when people watch streamers and play like them?
Just to begin with, streamers farm/play path of exile 20h/day for months. How do you expect anyone to be doing the same?
If ziz unfreeze all mobs good to him, I'll do it asap too but when I'm strong enough. And I know how and when. Cause I'm not a fucking noob, and that's why I'm on HC league for 5 years.
done. [2]
ps: can't wait to see exactly this thread in reddit in few days after league release. 2k+ or 3k+ upvotes thread ppl asking for this button I've been talking about for the last 2 weeks. :)
My end, it justifies my means,
All I ever do is delay,
My every attempt to evade,
The end of the road
And my end.... Last edited by imLuCaSsS#6273 on Jun 2, 2019, 9:43:25 PM

I mean... since literally the beginning of POE? Definitely since the 1.0 release. And I'm sorry if you still don't understand what I'm saying, but I honestly don't think I can put it any simpler.

BUT, what if there were two other monoliths, one on each side somewhere random, that if you hopped or whirled or dashed over to and smacked them, then everything would instantly come alive, probably smashing your face, but nonetheless getting you what you are asking for.

That's actually a really good idea. Or, on a similar note: maybe GGG could put champion enemies in that are harder to free, but automatically broke out all other Legion mobs within a small radius when you did? That would keep the DPS-check nature of the mechanic in place, but would give low-AOE builds an alternative to hitting a dozen weaker enemies individually.

This is not a good idea, for all of the reasons people who remember the original Maelstrom of Chaos can attest to. Now, I'm sure for most people in this thread there isn't really a reason not to have the Unfreeze All button, so I want to make it clear I'm not talking about any of you in particular before I say the next part, which is certainly a little bit inflammatory towards... well, to bad players.
Simply put: a lot of people who play POE have no idea how bad they are at this game because they lack the self-awareness to see the areas they need to improve. Many, many players constantly die without understanding what's killing them or what they can/should do about it. These are the people you often see making "One-shot complaint" threads and crying about "being forced to play meta builds," even though power creep in POE has gotten so ridiculous that trollbuilds can easily reach endgame on a budget of a couple exalts or less (I did it with Sire of Shards fireballs in Synth and Mjolner Dual Strike Champion in Flashback, which are about as far from the meta as you can get).
Anyway, let's think about what the results of The Button would actually be like. Top players and streamers would be hitting it every single time and blowing through the Legions like a chainsaw through hippies, and the people who watch their streams would then think that hitting The Button was the way they should be playing. And they'd get slaughtered, because they aren't good enough to play at that level, and they'd come here and/or go to Reddit to make pages and pages of angry WHY GAME SO UNFAIR threads. We know this would happen, because that's exactly what happened in Betrayal league: bad players kept executing the syndicate members (because that's what the top players were doing) until the syndicate became too difficult for them to beat. And somehow, this was the game's fault.
So as much as I personally would like an unlock-all button, and I'm sure most of the people in this conversation would benefit from having it, we've got to keep in mind that there are a TON of bad players who absolutely could not survive the consequences of triggering All Da Mobs at once. The system as designed puts a DPS-check on activating the Legion mobs, helping protect less skilled players from themselves. Does this hand-holding go a little too far? Probably. But given the community reaction to the Syndicate it's hard to expect GGG to have done literally anything else.
I think you're underestimating player intelligence in this case.
Syndicate is very complicated. Given the complexity of that league it's understandable that players copied streamers and then didn't learn from their experiences.
Legion, on the other hand, is very easy to figure out. Players can certainly figure out entirely on their own when the "Release all legion mobs now" button consistently leads to a grisly death for their characters^.
^ Mice quickly figure out which lever results in an electric shock and which one gives them food. Surely human beings can learn at least as well as mice.
Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes? Last edited by EnjoyTheJourney#0109 on Jun 3, 2019, 1:57:54 PM
