General Discussion - Pre 4.0 hype disappointment - Forum

I boggle at people wanting to turn this into an MMO. You are aware of how many MMOs are available on the market, right? Go into Steam and search MMO and you will be there for days looking through the list. Search ARPG and you will be there for days looking for PoE/D2 type games, because people don't know what an ARPG is anymore and tag anything and everything with that label. In reality there is but an handful of true loot-based ARPGs out there at the moment. There have been posts looking for raids and holy trinity and all that crap for years, and thankfully it has never come to fruition. I've said similar before - keep your MMO chocolate out of my ARPG peanut butter - it doesn't make a Reese Peanut Butter Cup, it makes a pile of crap instead. GGG has successfully improved the game by leaps and bounds over the past years, granted there have been some bad fuck ups.. but NOTHING like what happened with Diablo 3. Considering PoE can barely run smoothly solo, & have not figure out how to make a MP experence, you can rest easy PoE will not turn into a MMO. Charan had a much better response on Diablo 3 but, here's mine. Diablo 3 was a great game. There was nothing to "hate" in D3, which seemed to be their primary design goal. Maybe I'll even play it again someday? I hope 4.0 is not a disappointment, I don't expect it to be a disappointment? Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
