Diablo 4 Would Kill Path of Exile

It's not like there is a D4 even announced so all speculation of course. My thoughts based on D3, since that is the only reference point to base a guess on....

I wouldn't say D3 sucked, at least initially. It had a very arcade feel to it that was still fun at least for short sessions. The issue was people going into it expecting a sequel to Diablo 2; which I can't blame them. There is a reason I play POE...because I wanted something more like D2, not D3.

D3 is to D2 as Highlander 2 is to Highlander and I think Activision is more inclined to stick to the Highlander 2 (D3) formula for D4 if they even do it. That certainly will make some people happy but I think they will not have nearly the success as D3 launch since many who pre-ordered D3 were expecting D2-like game or Highlander if I were stick to this metaphor. They won't be fooled again. I certainly won't. Why would I when POE is around?

Great, just when me and my therapist finally got me over my disappointment in Highlander 2 after all these years, someone dredges it up again. GREAT! And wasn't there a highlander 3? And then another one? Wasn't there one that was guys on flying skateboards and lasers? Was that 2? OMG I AM FALLING INTO THE SPIRAL AGAIN! THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE....HIGHLANDER MOVIE........

Diablo 3 was always going to sell record numbers because it was following the most successful ARPG of all time. They could have served up anything and still sold 30million copies.

But I bet you if they don't remove some of the most hate elements of D3 they won't receive 30mill+ copies for D4. Add on top the insult of mobile Diablo Immortal, I think you can only push fans for so long.

You think POE is stale? D3 hasn't had the meta change in like 4-5 seasons. Gear means nothing, gear variety is nearly non-existence, crafting is like a finger painting form of POEs, and the only way to improve your GRs once you easily get all your BIS gear in less than a week? Grind infinite XP with XP characters that share across your account because paragon is like an exponential boring power curve.

Oh yea, no trading in an ARPG lol. They won't get away with it as much the next time around, fans will want to know exactly what they are changing.

Do not worry guys. Everybody knows that PoE 4.0.0 will be released on Android. To spam one attack skill which cleans-up the entire screen from mobs and a second one - movement skill, which lets you run faster, you need only two thumbs and nothing more. This game if perfect for smartphones.
