Diablo 4 Would Kill Path of Exile

PoE doesnt need graphic overhaul at all. it was constantly getting small updates in graphic for years and whoever played this game for more than few years know how much this game changed.
IIRC new engine will be here for 4.0

This is true and unfortunately this is what most of people on this forum is expecting. Other ones just stop playing and do not share their opinions.
Problem of PoE is that it is very simple game, despite of fantastic great skill tree and lots of active skills and supports. Gameplay for most of the time is just spamming of AOE skill and Movement skill, sometimes this is even the same skill. This game could be the perfect arcade shooter - GGG just needs to replace the graphic - maps to be space, big mother-ships, meteor fields, etc., mobs you replace to small spaceships and you could control also a small spaceship. Idea is very simple - kill quickly everything which appears on the screen and have a tougher boss on the end. Such games exist on the market from 70/80-ties! I was playing them on Atari 65XE. Nowadays we have better hardware, so graphics is better, players have more movement freedom and mechanics can be more complicated. Idea is same.

Video gamers are weird way they get all tribal. If you go to the park like I do every morning to run (just got back) I don't go up to the guys playing basketball or horseshoes and say hey guys why arnt you running or playing PoE instead? Just play what you enjoy. I liked D3 and liked this game.

- Well...but the EP-malus in POE is pissing ppl off - and i can understand this loosing the progress from the last 3-5 completed maps after dying due to lag, syndikat or any random one hit isn`t very funny.

- i am running tower and terrace maps...i guess arround 80-100 these days.....AND NO FUCKING HO will appear....

Both of is totally frustrating and steal any motivátion, and guess what: I f I dont have any fun i wont invest ANY more real money-its a miracle for me this simple fact is perm ignored by GGG.

Got both of these HO for like 40c each in /820, along with other nice HO like divide & alpine. You may need/want to resort to that. ;{

While thats technically true. The reality is that Blizzard isnt going to release d4 in at least next 6 years. Right now they are focused on entering china markets with their mobile diablo. The stakes there are big. Not to mention the fact that diablo 4 will probably have short lifespan just like d3. Due to the way blizzard activision works. Release product -> abandon it

It would be a big surprise to not see a Diablo Mobile - Chinese market is too great to just ignore it and to do not use the opportunity to make money. It will be also surprising if Tencent would ignore such oportunity too - they are more experienced than Blizzard in both: mobile games and Chinese market.

So... prepare for mobile PoE 4.0.

Anyone who says the "big expansion" 4.0 will be mobile PoE must have some brain damage.
The biggest competition of GGG - Blizzard announced they are working on mobile game. Why would GGG risk it and spend money on something that could be just "worse Diablo Immortal"? Blizzard abbandoned Diablo 3, GGG has literally no real competition on PC, Xbox and PS4.
