If console versions have auction houses PC version must have it too.

An in-game UI similar to the trade website would be great, maybe even an online-only vendor in your hideout that can sell a limited amount of items per day.
But a full on auction house ? absolutely not!

It will completely ruin the in-game economy, an Auction house that allows instant sales even when offline is gonna flood the market with items.
Prices of most items will probably drop by like 90%.
Players will be able to by a all the gear they need for like 10-20 chaos.
To stop the game from becoming too easy and boring, GGG will have to drastically lower the drop rates for basically everything.
That will make things much harder in the start of a league, and almost impossible for new players.
The trading system needs to be moved in-game. That's a no-brainer. But I'd rather want the current system, than the halfarsed "AH" that is PS4/Xbox, that's for sure.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Price fixers will get blown out? Oh no, how horrible! Players won't need to grind for hours just to afford basic build-enabling items? No way!
Not needing to be online to be able to trade? Inconceivable!

This doesn't look halfarsed to me.

by "all the gear they need" i didn't mean "basic build-enabling items", i meant gear that is good enough to easily clear end game content.
By the time you make it to maps, you'll be able to afford gear that allows you to kill the shaper.
When that happens, GGG will nerf drop rates to the ground. and that is the problem.

Should GGG make such a dick move they would be no better than Blizzard or Electronic Arts.
But you do have faith in GGG right?

To you, maybe. But no stat range search? No favored sorting in results? "Desired stats" instead of "stats"? How on point/specific is it to search for "desired stats" in-game? I don't know, but I'm very curious.

I don't know about you, but when I first trade, I'm looking for something specific. Everything "OK" I get from drops/crafts. And when that ability to search for that very specific item is better on the forum's search engine, I will continue to use that.

I would urge you to try it out before deeming it as the best thing since the wheel.

Still better than what we have now, when you can do super fine search just to find out that dude is either offline or price fixer or already sold the thing, not to mention the sheer fact that you need to use third-party services to be able to search for anything at all.
It's a testament to GGG's trade concept's failure.

It's not really all that and a bag of chips; you cannot search for specific mods, socket colors or links, etc. Yes, you can trade with almost zero interaction from another player and it is anonymous (which is great) but it leaves a lot to be desired for search functionality and expediency of currency handling. (Your bid can sit in limbo waiting for someone to accept your offer for ages.)

The web trade search features on their website need to be added to an in-game UI that allows for players to trade without grouping in the same fashion as the console edition.

Trading is fundamental and I'm truly hoping for PoE 4.0 they are adding a much better interface to make it the vibrant part of the game it deserves to be.

Better than this pile of dogshit right now LOL fucking AWFUL SYSTEM FOR YEARS.

Hyperbole? Check

Says "dogshit"? Check

Quality I_NO post? Check
I mean if trading is fundamental why support for third parties sites and software even exists? Why it is a thing?
Because trading is a failure that's why.
you kids have been whining about trade for over 5 years now lol
don't you get tired of it at some point?
