D3 lost my vote with the constant delays. Yes I know its Blizzard and they tend to take a long time with things, we've all come to expect that. But I bought a pre-order twice now, and both were refunded/cancelled because the date was pushed back. I can wait if you tell me it will be a long time, but not when you say soon, then change it to next year, then say soon, and its the year after that. I'll probably end up buying it, but its now far, far down my list of priorities.

" Don't get this last bit. If you're expecting to be disappointed, why do it? Life has enough *unexpected* disappointments, I think. I'd rather not pay a hundred bucks for what I know will be a disappointment. In my personal currency, that's like, ten blurays right there. Or three tv box sets. Or a REALLY good night out with friends... I don't play diablo 2 anymore, and haven't since I found GW1. By your analogy, GW1 was that girl I met in college after realising the girl in high school was...just a girl in high school. It didn't really get all that hot and heavy but it lasted a long time and was always quite fulfilling. We went our separate ways when we graduated, but we still keep in touch and I've heard she's had a kid or two since then, so maybe my kids and her kids can play together while we get to know each other's spouses... Sorry, I took that a bit far. Oh, and calling Diablo 3 an 'experiment' is like calling Transformers 3 a box office risk. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. Well I have to say Diablo III isn't all that good looking for a game that took 10 years to create. Seriously, hod did that game take 10 years to produce??

In those ten years they've released Warcraft 3, an expansion pack for it, World of Warcraft, three expansions for that, Starcraft 2, with an expansion each for both Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft on the way basically alongside Diablo 3. As well as constant updates for their games, revamping battle.net, preliminary work on whatever Titan is, canned projects like Starcraft Ghost etc. It hasn't just been ten years of Diablo development.
