Who else won't even be TRYING d3

Played the first 2 Diablo games and i have my D3 CE edition on order, not been in the Beta, but i know i`m gonna have a blast with it.... so i`m gonna be there on launch day and for a long time after. no amount of haters will put me off.

i hope i will also be playing POE, looking forward to this weekend and public Beta..

You can play both games you know :)

It's not F2P. You have to buy it in order to play. F2P does not mean "no monthly charge".

Guild Wars has been called F2P by some. It's also not true and I based what I said on that.

Don't assume what holds true for you holds true for everyone.

I never do. I just stated my opinion. I'm open to correction if or when I'm wrong.

If you do (purchase it) and expect to be disappointed there's really no helping you. Nevertheless I hope you won't be disappointed. It's never good to think you wasted your hard-earned money.

I was one of the ones that purchased the "lifetime" subscription to Hellgate London. I'm still bitter about that.
Well,you are right....
Diablo 3 = World Of Warcraft
When wow will die diablo 3 will continue its legacy....and dont argue on this one,wow weapon models, wow character models, wow world....with lots of colors and glows....
And also they are moving very slow,i mean srsy a game like Elder Scrols Skyrim which is 200000 times more bigger than diablo 3 has been released more faster than d3....
And lets not talk about the graphics ....
Wow...six pages of close to endless nonsense about a game that's not even released yet..much talk of other ARPG's but not a SINGLE mention of Titan Quest or its spiritual successor, Grim Dawn.
Sorry, I disagree. I'm in the D3 beta and it is incredibly fun. I went in with D1, D2 and no prior bias'. I have not been following the game for the past 6 years. Only thing I knew was that it was going to be released "soon".

It's a lot of fun people. I will also be having fun with Torchlight 2, Grim Dawn and PoE (even though it's kinda boring).

Also, topic creator it's okay to not like things but you don't need to be a dick about it. It's actually this kind of elitism that's bad for everyone.

Plus, viewing his post history has revealed that he is indeed a troll. Take it as you will.

Well to be honest I won't be trying Diablo III, but I also know many will. It changed into a sort of game I don't really like. I still have a list of games I want to buy, just knocked Diablo III off that list earlier this year when I realized what it was turning into. Some people find tat sort of game fun, but I don't so I won't be buying it. I have 2 notable reasons for this decision:

1. Real Money Auction House
2. Online only for single player

I don't want to support people paying real life money for an in game advantage or support the DRM of online only for all games, even single player ones. Single player games belong online. PoE is not a single player game, since towns are a hub for all players playing. It is an online game that doesn't quite reach to MMO. Its online so you can trade/meet people in town, party up and do co-op play or venture out alone. Even if you play by yourself, you can always chat to anyone else online.

there is a subtle distinction there ;)

That's it right there. That is why some people won't buy Diablo 3. It has changed ( to be expected ) from it's last iteration. Some people don't like the change, and have decided to go a different route. That doesn't mean that it's BAD, it just means that it's not to the liking of some people. I'm sure that when people saw the drastic changes between the gameplay style of the old Deus Ex games, and the ( quite different ) modern Deus Ex game they didn't want to play it because it wasn't the type of game they wanted any more. That doesn't mean that the new game is bad, or better than the old game. It's just different.

Has Blizzard alienated some of it's old Diablo fans with the new direction of the series? YES for sure. Have they managed to keep most of them? Also yes. Most people who bought the old Diablo games, will buy the third instalment. Have they gained more fans? For sure! By giving it a style similar to their recent MMO title they have created a welcoming environment to a new style of game to create the interest to buy another product.

So in business terms the changes make sense. While they will lose some fans, the amount they gain will be huge. It's smart, but for some of us it's frustrating.

Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet?
I won't even try to run D3 cuz My computer won't handle it. I saw specifications of PoE and it's perfect for my computer.
