Yes you cannot report scammers but you can report spammers which is how it should be. You shouldn't trade two inventories of items or exalts that's why you have mirrors in this game.

Oh come on, we all know it when we see it. It takes a certain type of guy to want to be in that environment, not good for the game, not good for growth, not good for anyone who isn't one of those guys.
The chat was fine before them, but now they can do some real damage as their attacks become more frequent and coordinated. Imagine a new player coming in and seeing all that crap, not knowing how to turn in off. Their gone they tell their friends the game is an alt-right dumpster. Or, the person turns off the chat, and is eventually bored and quits, having no contact to the outside world. Like I said, it was fine before, it straddled the line and it was awesome. " And therein lies the issue for these companies. You have one definition, I've got another. It's a can of worms that doesn't directly impact their bottom line so the easiest thing to do is ignore it. Ignoring it can have consequences though. Many people were radicalized by ISIS youtube recruiting videos. Some of those people committed terrorist acts inspired by said videos. Many others have been radicalized by alt-right hate speech online as well. And the alt-righters who have gone on to commit terrorist acts? Well they've killed more Americans than the ISIS inspired terrorists have. I'm of the opinion that GGG (and companies in general) should just pick a fairly wide definition and enforce it. If it's a bit too wide and catches some borderline cases that's better than letting too much crap through like they do now. Path of Exile is meant to be a game after all, not a platform for spreading hateful bullshit. |
