You know there is a serious problem when Betrayal players end up playing Betrayal like STD league.

"

I hate when they do re-balance... like original invasion... Anyway it's not like ppl going to 100 or HC dont skip things every league anyway.

Like you im not particularly tanky, still on tabula and a witch and no issues to 90 never skipping one.

I did die to end syndicate boss when I switch to CI ill try her again.

I want to experience the hardest version after i find my gear. Not some nerfed watered down version.

The league is great, the mechanics though - fucking ridiculous. You hit an assassin or try to complete a fort in a T14+ rare/corrupt? You may as well just go to Shaper's realm or Uber Elder to level. The mechanics - the fucking in-map mechanics! are on that level in some situations. Safehouses are a cake walk compared to high tier in map encounters.

First Delve, now Betrayal. Hard content to force players to focus on defenses and not just clear, clear, clear. Indirect clearspeed nerf?
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

There are a large number of Betrayal players skipping all Betrayal content simply by proc'ing a Syndicate Laboratory in a map and then never completing it so it proc's in all maps.

That way they can level and progress through the Atlas without the high risk of being one-shot and losing invaluable EXP.

You want to get to L95+? This is what a large number of players are doing. Skipping. The. F'N. League. Mechanic. Entirely.

And I don't blame them.

That is a serious problem.

GGG you made an interesting league with lots of content. But Betrayal is a total cluster fuck that needs to be toned the F down. The one-shot mechanics in high tier maps are cheap, brutal, and not one ounce of fun.

And then when they try to fight them later, they have zero experience with the encounters making the problem 1000% worse.

When people complain that they are impossible on red maps I want to know two things: 1) Did you practice doing them while leveling up? (no) 2) What does your board look like? Did you level them up and let them build relationships? (yes)

In fact, I suspect skipping them while leveling is the root of poeple's problem.

Personally I enjoy the encounters in lower tier maps but in high-tier rare/corrupt? - fuck me.
They acting like they look, pretty Badass =D Love the Synchro,System etc but its rly hard to get a Overview over the Situation cause the Screen is full with Stuff + as Melee you have to fight infront of that Clusterf...but on the other side when you learn the Mechanics of each Boss it should be smoother to kill them
When does it get this hard? I’ve felt it’s too easy so far, and not very rewarding. I’m not in red maps yet, simply can’t get maps to drop enough and if I get 1-2 every few maps they are lower than what I’m doing. Map drops is what has pushed me away from almost every league since the start. Challenging is great when everyone gets to attempt the fights. I only hate when it’s impossible for casual players to even see the content and that’s not the case this league for a change.
Being able to play how you prefer is a good thing. Just like Incursion, you should be able to skip it if you don't like it. You'll miss out on the fun of the encounters and the drops, but why would I care if that's what someone wants to do?

Personally, I'm having fun when 3 dudes ambush me and I'm able to fight them off, but maybe that's not everyone's cup of tea.

Good tip about the Syndicate Lab, though. Might be useful later.
Can't even take this serious..Checking your tree i dont see a single defensive node, dont get me started about your flasks.

It's about time this game throws some hard content at the players which forces us to think a bit more about the defensive aspect of our builds.

I hope GGG leaves the difficulty of the syndicate members untouched. Afterall I like salty posts like this.

Get a grip dude. Those aren't my normal mapping flasks. I was steamrolling uber lab all last night for enchants.

As for my defence, even with my current crap gear and not using my normal mapping flasks - I have fortify, 30% phys, 48% evasion, 21% block, 10% spell and attack dodge (pantheon and armour), 5% Chaos resistance.

Can I do the high-tier Betrayal content? Yes. Are the mechanics f'd up especially in high tier corrupted maps compared to endgame content? YES!

Take your elitist bullshit elsewhere.

Are you joking? Betrayal is hugely rewarding.

If they nerf the syndicate they'll have to gut the rewards or make it a void league.

Nothing screams "rewarding" like having to risk dying (or just dying) 10+ times so you can max out a recipe for a spec of life/ES that'll get blown away by a floaty, TINY green ghost...
